What This Means For Masters Of The Universe
The Rogue's Gallery Has Gained Some Major Players
With so many villains to keep track of, it's important that the Masters of the Universe movie captures the bold, unique characterizations that differentiated them in the original He-Man TV shows. The movie seems set to bring them to life properly with this influx of stars, many of whom have ample experience playing a variety of villains. For instance, Jared Leto recently played the title character in the Marvel antihero movie Morbius, but he has also portrayed key antagonists including Niander Wallace in Blade Runner 2049 and the iconic Batman villain Joker in Suicide Squad and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Jared Leto won an Oscar for his portrayal of Raymond Rayon in 2013's Dallas Buyers Club.
Leto's co-stars are also up to the challenge. Sam C. Wilson (who plays Blood in House of the Dragon) recently portrayed iconic Charles Dickens antagonist Bill Sikes in Dodger, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (who played The Mountain in Game of Thrones) has portrayed other intimidating characters including Thorfinnr Tooth-Gnasher in 2022's The Northman, and Kojo Attah has cut his teeth in ing roles in major projects such as The Beekeeper, Wrath of Man, and Supacell. With their wide array of experience, they should be able to breathe life into the iconic animated characters.
Our Take On The Masters Of The Universe Casting
The Movie Is Broadening Its Scope
The fact that so many villains have ed the Masters of the Universe movie at once has offered some insight into the movie, even though plot details are still being kept tightly under wraps. It seems that the movie will have a broader focus than simply having He-Man fight Skeletor for the majority of the story. With so many villains at hand, it seems likely that He-Man and his allies will have to face many obstacles on whatever quest they undertake.
