The Avengers Vs Ultron And The Twins (Avengers: Age Of Ultron)
Wanda Maximoff is now one of the most popular heroes in the MCU, but she began as a very complex adversary to the Avengers. She and her brother Pietro team with Ultron to take on the heroes as they try to stop Ultron from acquiring vibranium.
The fight sequence is interesting because it is a rare time the Avengers seem totally outmatched. While Pietro's speed makes him tricky to fight, Wanda does the most damage, torturing the heroes with dark visions. Seeing the Avengers torn apart so easily made for a memorable sequence.
Thor And Iron Man Meet (The Avengers)
Part of the fun of the first Avengers movie is to see the egos of the heroes clash when they first meet. Perhaps the two most arrogant of the team, Thor and Iron Man, have an especially prickly first encounter.
After expecting to see the heroes teaming up, it was a nice surprise to see them fighting each other. It makes for a fun brawl as it is clear they aren't really going to hurt each other. Instead, it is just an entertaining scene filled with great moments like Thor's lightning strike unexpectedly powering up Iron Man's suit.
The Battle Of Sokovia (Avengers: Age Of Ultron)
Each of the Avengers movies ends with a huge climactic battle, and while Avengers: Age of Ultron has the least interesting of these sequences, it is still thrilling enough. Fans of big blockbuster destruction will find plenty to love but the best moment is when all the heroes come together.
It might not be as iconic as the shot in the first Avengers, but this sequel features its own 360-shot showing all the Avengers, including new Vision, Wanda, and Pietro, as they work together to defeat Ultron's army.
Taking On Thanos On Titan (Avengers: Infinity War)
One of the many highlights of the Avengers meet the Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time. It is another rocky start to the relationship, but the heroes manage to band together to put up a pretty good fight against Thanos on his homeworld.
It is a lot of fun seeing these heroes not only share the screen for the first time but also work together in such a cool way. From Spider-Man jumping through Doctor Strange's portals to Iron Man crushing the Mad Titan with a boulder, it is a valiant effort that almost works.
The Battle Of Wakanda (Avengers: Infinity War)
While the other heroes are fighting Thanos on Titan, the rest of the Avengers spend the climax of Avengers: Infinity War battling his army in Wakanda. Though the heroes have faced difficult odds before, this battle feels especially daunting.
It is another extended sequence that has so many wonderful moments. While the sight of Black Panther and Captain America charging into battle together is great and the team-up of Wanda, Black Widow, and Natasha is badass, it is Thor's epic entrance that is the clear highlight.
Hulk Vs The Hulkbuster (Avengers: Age Of Ultron)
The first Avengers movie proves how valuable Hulk is as a member of the Avengers. But Avengers: Age of Ultron shows how dangerous he can be as an enemy. After being possessed by Wanda, Hulk goes on a rampage and Tony Stark must suit up in the Hulkbuster suit to stop him.
Most of the hero-vs-hero fights feel like petty scuffles, but this is a really devastating brawl. Some fans might find the destruction a bit over-the-top, but it is a hugely entertaining sequence that has each of the heroes getting some great shots in.
Doctor Strange Vs Thanos (Avengers: Infinity War)
Most of the Avengers had at least a brief chance to take on Thanos one-on-one, but the best match-up with the Mad Titan was Doctor Strange. Fans get to see just how much Strange has progressed as a sorcerer, and as Thanos is armed with the Infinity Gauntlet, it turns into a surreal and epic showdown.
It is a brief fight but it immediately makes Strange a much more interesting character with a fascinating bag of tricks. Hopefully, he'll get a chance to top this fight scene in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Thor, Iron Man And Captain America Fight Thanos (Avengers: Endgame)
It's interesting that the biggest Avengers movie doesn't really have a big action sequence until the very end. But the third act of Avengers: Endgame certainly does deliver on that front. The big stuff kicks off with a brutal fight as the three most famous Avengers take on Thanos.
Even with all the other characters in this movie, it is thrilling to see these three heroes fighting side-by-side. It is also hard to watch as Thanos remains too much for them to handle. And of course, it features one of the most crowd-pleasing MCU moments as Captain America wields Mjolnir.
The Avengers Assemble (Avengers: Endgame)
The entire MCU seemed to be leading to this instantly iconic moment in Avengers: Endgame when virtually every hero in the cinematic universe comes together. Whatever fans' opinion of Thanos, it is impressive that it takes this kind of showing to defeat him.
The sequence is filled with fun moments of heroes meeting for the first time or reuniting, but seeing the epic line of iconic characters charging into battle together is enough to please just about any comic book fan.
The Avengers Battle Loki's Army (The Avengers)
Though the battle in Avengers: Endgame had a lot more heroes, the Battle of New York in The Avengers was something fans never thought they would see and felt like the beginning of something special.
The long continuous shot going through the battle to show each of the six heroes in action was brilliant. It not only showed how each individual was part of the team but also showed them working together as a unit. And it culminates in the great gag of Hulk needlessly smacking Thor which was that perfect MCU mix of spectacle and humor.
