The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled to brimming with superheroes, many of whom have forged tight bonds with one another after years of fighting side-by-side. However, with scores upon scores of characters, not all of the Avengers in the MCU have had the time to adequately build lasting friendships with other heroes of their caliber.

Despite being one of the original Avengers, Thor Odinson is one member of the team who seems to interact with a precious few of his fellow teammates. With the character's journey continuing beyond the Infinity Saga and into his fourth solo film, Thor: Love and Thunder, there are plenty of Avengers with whom fans hope the god of thunder will get to spend more time in the MCU.

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel, much like Thor in Phase 1, is Avengers: Endgame. The two share a fun moment of bonding, with Thor declaring that he liked Carol Danvers after a short staredown.

Endgame appeared to be setting up a fun friendship between Carol and Thor with their first interaction. As two of the most powerful Avengers on the team, each would share a profound understanding of the other, potentially leading to a lasting relationship throughout the future of the MCU. However, the two have yet to meet again since the finale of Endgame, leaving many fans to wonder if they'll ever see a true team-up between Captain Marvel and the son of Odin.

Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange 2

Of all the new Avengers introduced in Phase 3 and beyond, Doctor Strange is the one with whom Thor has shared the most scenes. The two officially met after Strange kidnapped Loki at the onset of Thor: Ragnarok, with Thor traveling to the Sanctum Sanctorum to work out the of his brother's release. The two heroes would both later fight in the Battle of Earth and attend Tony Stark's funeral, though no interactions are depicted between them.

From what little fans have seen of the relationship between Thor and Doctor Strange, the two have predictably zany interactions that could flourish into a seasoned relationship if given more screentime. Thor's bafflement at Strange's casual use of magic and Strange's amusement at Thor's Asgardian tendencies provide some of the "strange magic" that creators at Marvel Studios have often aimed for when building relationships between their heroes.

The Winter Soldier

The Winter Soldier looks back at something in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Despite both characters being featured in the MCU for upwards of ten years, the Winter Soldier and Thor have never interacted onscreen. Each hero was present during the Battle of Earth in Endgame, as well as Tony Stark's subsequent funeral, but neither ever engages in conversation with the other on either occasion.

Bucky Barnes and Thor could not be more different. One is a pampered prince who had to learn humility to become a true hero while the other is a formerly brainwashed assassin plagued by the memories of his past misdeeds. These two vastly contrasting characters could play very nicely against one another should they ever interact, with neither ever quite understanding the other.

War Machine

Rhodey as War Machine

War Machine and Thor have shared the screen on numerous occasions. The two fought side-by-side in the Battles of Sokovia, Wakanda, and Earth, and were both a part of the time travel operation to undo the Decimation and stop Thanos once and for all. Despite their long history, Thor and Rhodey have only a handful of conversations captured onscreen.

Though they share little screentime together, Thor and Rhodey have doubtlessly built some semblance of a friendship after years of teamwork on the Avengers. Little moments at the party in Age of Ultron or at Rhodey's casual quip that Thor had "cheese whiz" coursing through his veins have hinted at this friendship, but fans need to see more tangible evidence of the two Avengers' interactions onscreen.

Hawkeye

Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye preparing an arrow during the Battle of New York in 2012's The Avengers

Hawkeye and Thor are two of the original six of the Avengers who fought at the Battle of New York in 2012. The two have gone on to appear in three total films together in the MCU and, alongside the Hulk, are some of the few remaining of the original team.

While fans have been treated to several interactions between Clint Barton and Thor throughout the years, including their first shared scene wherein Clint almost shot and killed Thor with an arrow, their relationship would certainly have changed since Endgame. As two of the senior of the team, Clint and Thor likely have a new outlook on their friendship, one that would be incredibly cathartic to see play out in a future team-up.

Spider-Man

Tom Holland as Spider-Man in No Way Home

Spider-Man and Thor were each a part of the Avengers lineup in Infinity War and Endgame, but Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Ever since Peter's spot-on impersonation of the son of Odin, fans are craving a chance to see Peter Parker and Thor interact in the MCU. The former is clearly a major fan of the more seasoned superhero, making any potential conversations between the two potential comedic gold.

Ant-Man

Scott Lang revealing his identity in Ant-Man

In recent years, Ant-Man has become one of the more important Avengers on the team. His contributions to the invention of time travel proved invaluable, giving the heroes a chance to undo Thanos's snap. During this operation, Scott Lang got the chance to share a precious few moments with the god of thunder.

From what little fans have seen between Thor and Scott, it is already clear that a team-up between the two would be incredibly fun to see play out onscreen. As both heroes have transformed into comedic characters in recent years, any conversation between the two seasoned Avengers would be one for the MCU history books.

Falcon/Captain America

Sam Wilson as the new Captain America in Falcon And The Winter Soldier

Sam Wilson is newly reborn in the MCU as the next Captain America, complete with an incredibly comics-accurate costume. Despite his important position in the Avengers, Sam has only had a handful of interactions with the core of the group, including Thor himself.

Thor would certainly want to get to know the man who is taking over for his good friend, Steve Rogers, to make sure that he lives up to the legacy that the first Captain America left behind. Wilson's new title is the perfect conversation-started for the two integral Avengers, who must forge some kind of working relationship in order to maintain the integrity of their team.

Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch reading the Darkhold

As two of the most powerful Avengers to ever be featured on the team's roster, Scarlet Witch and Thor have shared a number of scenes together. They have worked both as allies and enemies throughout their tenure in the franchise, last appearing together at Tony Stark's funeral in Endgame.

The surviving Avengers have all been through plenty of tribulation in the years since Endgame, but perhaps none more so than the Scarlet Witch. After losing everything, Wanda Maximoff broke bad in should the Scarlet Witch ever return to the MCU.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy

Thor first met the Guardians of the Galaxy at the beginning of Infinity War when the team picked him up after his ship was destroyed by Thanos. Since then, Thor has built an incredibly engaging relationship with the ragtag team of misfits, especially Starlord. He would later leave Earth with the Guardians after defeating Thanos in search of finding himself amidst the expansive galaxy.

The interactions between Thor and the Guardians proved entertaining enough for the spacefaring team to be featured in the  Love and Thunder film, giving fans plenty of reason to be excited to see the further adventures of the group alongside the son of Odin. Nevertheless, audiences can only hope that this won't be the last time they see the "Asgardians of the Galaxy" together, with the chance still remaining that Thor will appear in next year's Volume 3.
