The recent success of Star Wars franchises are the biggest in the world. Characters like Iron Man, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Thanos, among others, are instantly recognizable, so it makes sense to see the similarities in these characters.

These can range from the cuteness of factors brought by the likes of Baby Groot and Grogu to the wisdom of others such as Steve Rogers and Obi-Wan Kenobi. With Disney+’s Thor: Love and Thunder, now’s the best time to stack up the characters with each other.

Loki - Kylo Ren

With father issues and a whole host of identity crises, Loki and Kylo Ren make for an angsty pair. Kylon Ren was corrupted by Emperor Palpatine without realizing it, which is similar to Loki’s corruption through the scepter provided by Thanos. The two also underwent redemption arcs that led to their deaths.

The characters are villains but have such a fan following that they’re seen as tragic figures who eventually became protagonists. In of powers, Loki’s sorcery is reminiscent of Kylo Ren’s use of the Force. The pair even had a similar romantic arc where they couldn’t end up with the women they loved.

Black Widow - Boba Fett

Black Widow was introduced as a spy and former assassin with a mysterious past, while there are Star Wars due to his backstory as a bounty hunter. Both characters are skilled fighters and take orders only when they want to be part of a team.

Black Widow was adopted by spies and raised as their daughter, which is similar to Boba Fett’s status as the clone of Jango Fett to become a bounty hunter like him. The two are stoic and intimidating with a rather dark sense of humor who overcame their grisly past to become protagonists.

Sam Wilson - Poe Dameron

Both Sam and Poe are expert flyers, with the former known as the Falcon for the majority of his time in the MCU and Poe being an X-wing fighter pilot. The pair are extremely loyal to their friends and toward the cause they believe in - Sam became a fugitive to oppose to Sokovia Accords and Poe ed the Resistance.

Sam has had notable bromances with Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes in the MCU, which is similar to Star Wars. The characters are very outspoken, confident, and sarcastic, going on to become major forces in winning the wars they were part of.

Korg - Chewbacca

The role of a loyal sidekick is important in Star Wars and the MCU, with Chewbacca and Korg becoming very popular as a result. The characters are known for being picture-perfect nice guys that can always be counted on, being the close companion of the main hero.

Korg has been the buddy of Thor while Chewbacca took on the same role for Han Solo. They’re both very tall, look distinct, and are from different species. Neither ever look for glory or fame and is just happy to be part of the team that fights against the evil forces.

Black Panther - Pé Amidala

Pé had to deal with the challenges that came with being the Queen of Naboo, along with becoming a senator on the Galactic Senate. In the same vein, T’Challa learned the difficulties a king has when he became the ruler of Wakanda and found out about his country’s past.

The two were forced to hold back the decisions they wanted to make because of the laws that governed them before they rebelled against the status quo. Pé was an anti-war spokeswoman in the Galactic senate while T’Challa revealed Wakanda’s true nature to avoid the possibility of war.

Spider-Man - Luke Skywalker

Luke and Peter are kindhearted, soft-spoken individuals who suffered the losses of their parents and guardians at a young age. They found father figures in Tony Stark and Obi-Wan Kenobi and were in favor of rehabilitating villains rather than fighting them.

Spider-Man ultimately prevented the deaths of villains Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard, while Luke managed to redeem his father, Anakin Skywalker. Luke had some reservations and uncertainties that haunted his life, very much like Spider-Man’s own fears in the MCU that he has yet to overcome.

Baby Groot - Grogu

There aren’t many can go on without Grogu due to the character’s popularity with audiences. Baby Groot served the same purpose of pulling viewers into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The pair’s cuteness is without question and is referenced in their respective universes.

Despite being babies, they are powerful in their own right, as Grogu is shown to be Force-sensitive while Baby Groot can extend his limbs like vines and has super strength. A big part of their characterizations is to provide their companions with the opportunity to show off their parental side.

Steve Rogers - Obi-Wan Kenobi

Steve Rogers was seen as the mentor and leader of the Avengers, keeping a calm demeanor and being the one who united everyone. Obi-Wan was also the perennial nice guy that characters like Anakin and Luke Skywalker looked up to as a brotherly and fatherly figure.

The pair were incorruptible personalities who were saddened by the estrangement from their close companions, such as Bucky Barnes and Tony for Steve and Anakin for Obi-Wan. They spent a long time in hiding due to circumstances beyond their control but kept a strong attitude in order for their friends to see them as a guiding light.

Thanos - Darth Vader

Although Darth Vader was an underling to Emperor Palpatine while Thanos was a warlord in his own right, the pair had an inner pain that’s comparable. Darth Vader became evil due to the loss of his wife, whereas Thanos turned this way when his kind went extinct due to a global war.

Neither of the two found pleasure in killing people and saw it as a means to an end. Darth Vader was a terrifying and powerful figure known for his command of the Force, which is similar to Thanos’ status as an intergalactic despot who took control of the Infinity Stones.

Iron Man - Han Solo

Audiences love bad boys and that essentially sums up Tony Stark and Han Solo. The two didn’t play by the rules, they were skeptics until they witnessed something themselves, they believed they were always right and had a rebellious attitude to go with their inherent talent.

Where Tony gave his life to ensure his daughter was safe, Han died at his son’s hands but redeemed him as part of a vision later on. Tony and Han were trigger-happy individuals who attacked first and asked questions later, later mellowing down when their respective love interests brought their emotional sides out of them.
