The Marvel Universe is home to many different stories and unique characters, and Marvel Studios has done an incredible job of bringing these arcs to life. In a lot of the Marvel projects, fans are being introduced to a wildly unexplored concept: the supernatural. That's right, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to officially acknowledge the existence of vampires, werewolves, and so much more.
There's one group of comic book characters, in particular, that is associated with this sort of thing: the Midnight Sons. Fans have been absolutely loving the rumors and theories surrounding this idea, so who could form the live-action version of the Midnight Sons?
Daredevil
This could very well be a stretch in the sense that the comics never saw Daredevil ing the Midnight Sons, but there are a few ways that Marvel Studios could swing it. Option one is to really dig deep into the "Devil of Hell's Kitchen" story, where he identifies as a Child of God but has a ton of internal demons to face throughout his series.
Again, this is a stretch; however, option two would be more of a comic relief situation, where the one who forms the team takes his name a little too literally and assumes he has connections to the Devil. It would be funny, but surely, all jokes aside, Daredevil would prove himself to be incredibly important to the team.
Iron Fist
Although the lines between what is canon and what is not in these Netflix Marvel shows have not been made clear yet, it is very possible to see a version of Iron Fist in the Midnight Sons. With the shows making their transfer from Netflix to Disney+ only recently, it feels like Feige has a plan for all of these characters and their stories, regardless of what these plans look like.
Seeing Iron Fist and the rest of the Defenders in the Marvel Cinematic Universe interacting with the characters fans have grown to love would be awesome, let alone some of them ing forces with the Midnight Sons.
Morbius
Yes, technically, No Way Home, so this may not be as far-fetched a possibility as many would think. Sony and Marvel made a statement with the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which laid the groundwork for some really awesome crossover potential in the future.
Morbius was, at one point, the leader of the Midnight Sons against an Earthly invasion of inter-dimensional zombies. This may not be the Midnight Sons arc that Marvel Studios chooses to run with, but it wouldn't be right to not at least consider him in the team's lineup.
Black Knight
Dane Whitman, also known as Black Knight, is another character that was not a member of the Midnight Sons in the comics, but events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may suggest a different idea. Unlike Daredevil, however, he does have connections to something very powerful: the Ebony Blade.
His ancestry of notable figures dates back centuries, as does the blade and its curse, but rather than following in his uncle's villainous footsteps, he chose to use his powers for good. Fans are soon to see the might of Black Knight in action, and with his unexplored connection to Blade in the post-credit scene of Eternals, he could end up a vital part of the Midnight Sons.
Werewolf By Night
In the comics, audiences Moon Knight series, the hype for Werewolf by Night will explode.
He has worked alongside the likes of Morbius, Ghost Rider, and even Iron Man and Spider-Man. Fans are most particularly excited for the interactions between Werewolf by Night and Moon Knight, which are going to be awesome.
Moon Knight/Mr. Knight
There is no way that a Midnight Sons project is authorized and doesn't include Moon Knight or, like in the comics, Mr. Knight. Besides Dane Whitman and Blade's voice cameo at the end of Eternals, Moon Knight is going to be the first real look at the supernatural in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The way that Moon Knight is portrayed in the series according to the first episode, trailers, clips, and stills, he represents something close to a mummy. This series also takes place in London, which is incredibly interesting to think about, especially when considering who else is in London, presumably around or during the events of Moon Knight.
Blade
There is a theory that Blade is going to be the one recruiting of the Midnight Sons. This was not the case in the comics, which saw Blade become Switchblade after interactions with the Darkhold went sideways. Nonetheless, Blade does seem to be bringing the team together, and it's just a matter of pointing out the facts.
His first confirmed "appearance" was during a post-credit scene with Dane Whitman. The post-credit scene takes place in London, where another possible member resides: Moon Knight. This puts three of the potential together in the same place at the same time, so it is likely that something is happening, Midnight Sons or not. Then there is the matter of Wong's absence during much of Spider-Man: No Way Home...coincidence?
Wong
Wong is the current leader of the Midnight Sons in the comics and led them against the forces of Mephisto while many of the Avengers were out of commission. Wong is a character who just keeps surprising audiences and has been inherently connected to many of the Marvel stories fans know and, maybe, the ones unknown.
The events of No Way Home and Hawkeye went down in New York. With that being said, where was Wong off to at the beginning of No Way Home? Was he on his way to meet with Blade? To investigate some demonic or supernatural occurrences? Or perhaps just a harmless vacation to London in the middle of winter.
Doctor Strange
The first formation of the Midnight Sons was sanctioned by Doctor Strange himself in an attempt to thwart the advances of Zarathos, Lilith, and her demonic children, the Lilin. Although nothing in his Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline has indicated any notion of the Midnight Sons yet, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness does have a few fleeting ideas for a potential Midnight Sons team-up.
First, and most obvious, is the introduction of the Darkhold, which has caused problems for the Midnight Sons on many occasions. Then, of course, seeing a Zombie Strange means fans could potentially witness inter-dimensional zombies infiltrating Earth in a future project; sound familiar?
