The world of Hollywood is surprisingly small, despite the fact that it plays such a major part in many people's lives. Thus, it's only natural that the most celebrated or well-known actors meet in movies more often than not. That's also the case of actors who appeared in both major superhero cinematic universes - the MCU.
Even though these two universes stand separately and are unlikely to connect anytime soon (if ever), the same isn't true for their actors. If anyone wants to see their favorite DC and Marvel superhero actors in one film, they have a unique opportunity to do so in more cases than one.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015): Elizabeth Debicki (MCU) & Henry Cavill (DCEU)
Henry Cavill is probably best known for playing Superman in the DCEU and Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher. But he has acted in many other similarly intriguing roles. In this film, Cavill stars as a CIA agent Solo who has the difficult task of stopping an evil criminal organization.
Cavill's hero Solo faces multiple opponents in the film, and one of them is the cunning and beautiful Victoria played by Elizabeth Debicki. Debicki later appeared as the villainous Ayesha in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 (2017) and she's set to reprise her role in the third Guardians of the Galaxy film as well.
Stardust (2007): Charlie Cox (MCU) & Henry Cavill (DCEU)
Neil Gaiman is a brilliant British writer responsible for writing many books that was one of his biggest roles before becoming the superhero Daredevil in Netflix's show of the same name.
Henry Cavill also appeared in this film, as one of its ing roles. Humphrey (Cavill) is a pompous young man who is also interested in Victoria and likes to challenge Tristan to fight him with a sword.
Triple 9 (2016): Anthony Mackie (MCU) & Gal Gadot (DCEU)
Those viewers who only know Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman won't probably be surprised to hear Gadot often appears in action movies. In this movie about a group of gangsters and corrupted cops, Gadot portrayed the ing part of Elena Vlaslov, but her fans will spot her in the film regardless.
A bigger role, Marcus Belmont, went to Anthony Mackie plays Sam Wilson aka the Falcon aka Captain America in the MCU.
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019): Chris Pratt (MCU) & Jason Momoa (DCEU)
The Lego Movie from 2014 was a major hit so it came as no surprise the audience eventually got a sequel. All fans of the series will know that the main voice role of Emmet went to none other than Chris Pratt aka MCU's Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord. Jason Momoa had a smaller role in the film, but one that DCEU fans will no doubt enjoy - Momoa voiced Aquaman!
And while it would be an obvious move, Gal Gadot didn't voice Wonder Woman. Instead, this role went to Cobie Smulders aka MCU's Maria Hill, Nick Fury's right hand, and the comic-book director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald (2018): Jude Law (MCU) & Ezra Miller (DCEU)
Everyone knows the world of Harry Potter and many people love it. So when the film franchise came out, it was heavily anticipated. Ezra Miller, DCEU's Barry Allen aka the Flash, portrays one of the major roles in this series, Credence Barebone, a wizard with a mysterious past.
However, those who read the Harry Potter books, will be much more familiar with another character, Jude Law's Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore is a hero but Law himself switched to the villainous side when he portrayed Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel (2019), the film's main antagonist.
Trainwreck (2015): Brie Larson (MCU) & Ezra Miller (DCEU)
Just like the second Lego Movie, Trainwreck also has multiple MCU actors in it. But this time, none of them portray a major part. Marisa Tomei (Peter Parker's Aunt May) played an unnamed dog owner, Meanwhile, Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) and Tilda Swinton (the Ancient One) played the ing parts of Kim and Dianna, respectively.
Finally, the film also has the above-mentioned Ezra Miller portray the ing part of Donald. Even though none of these actors play a major part, their fans still shouldn't miss out on watching the hilarious comedy.
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (2012): Paul Rudd (MCU) & Ezra Miller (DCEU)
Let's stay with Ezra Miller a bit longer. In the now-iconic coming-of-age drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Miller plays Patrick Stewart (no, not the Professor X actor), the stepbrother of Sam, portrayed by Emma Watson, whom Charlie (the main character) likes.
All the actors involved gave amazing performances, and that also rings true for Paul Rudd who played Charlie's English teacher, Mr. Anderson. As all MCU fans know, Rudd has played Scott Lang aka Ant-Man in the movies.
We Need To Talk About Kevin (2011): Tilda Swinton (MCU) & Ezra Miller (DCEU)
The final Ezra Miller movie that deserves a mention is this intense family drama. And it once again has both Miller and Tilda Swinton in it. Swinton plays Miller's mother. Kevin (Miller) is a boy who gradually becomes more and more difficult to get along with, one could even say that he's downright evil.
This study of a complex relationship between a mother and her son is a great way how to see both actors in roles very different from their superhero parts.
I, Tonya (2017): Sebastian Stan (MCU) & Margot Robbie (DCEU)
Margot Robbie shone as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad (2016). In fact, many believed she was the best part of the film. Margot portrayed a very different role when she played Tonya Harding, a real-life ice-skater in this biopic.
Harding had a complicated life, and that included her relationship with her partner Jeff. Jeff is familiar to MCU fans since Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) plays this part.
The Legend Of Tarzan (2016): Samuel L. Jackson (MCU) & Margot Robbie (DCEU)
Finally, it's important to mention the man who started the Avengers. No, not Robert Downey Jr., but Samuel L. Jackson. After all, without Jackson's Nick Fury, there would be no team.
In The Legend of Tarzan, Jackson played the major part of George Washington Williams, a soldier, a historian, and a lawyer, to name just a few things. Margot Robbie, meanwhile, played the leading part of Jane, a brave and intelligent woman whom Tarzan loves.
