I reckon Marvel Studios just introduced the only Marvel Studios' Spider-Man 4.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with Doctor Strange completing his original spell to make everyone forget Peter Parker's identity, sending the multiversal villains and Spider-Men home, but leaving Tom Holland's Peter Parker alone in the world. The Phase 4 movie ended with Parker making a new Spider-Man suit and continuing his escapades as an anonymous hero. I've loved seeing theories regarding what storyline Spider-Man 4 could follow, but Marvel Studios has a major problem to overcome before introducing any story for the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Death Must Still Know Peter Parker’s Identity After Spider-Man: No Way Home

Aubrey Plaza Debuted As Death In Agatha All Along

Death in a green cloak in the 1700s in Agatha All Along

Agatha All Along has quickly become one of my favorite Marvel Studios projects since the franchise kicked off, and this has been due, in part, to the introduction of Aubrey Plaza as the MCU's version of Death. Some of my favorite moments in Agatha All Along featured Death, particularly scenes which see Death slicing a tear in the fabric of reality to exit the Witches' Road and showing her true face to Billy Maximoff after Agatha Harkness' demise. As an abstract entity and a being beyond measly spells, I have no doubt that Death still knows Peter Parker.

Marvel Just Revealed How Powerful Death Is In The MCU, And I Can't Wait To See More Of Her Powers

Agatha All Along's final episodes showed off Death's incredible power set in the MCU, and I can't wait to see more of it in Marvel projects.

The idea that Death could still know Peter Parker's true identity means that she could be crucial to his evolution in the MCU after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Despite being a terrifying, all-powerful figure, Death has shown some of her most vulnerable and ive sides in Agatha All Along, too, especially during moments shared with Agatha Harkness' son, Nicholas Scratch. Death would be a very powerful ally for Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4, perhaps taking on the mentorship role that was previously filled by Iron Man, Mysterio and Doctor Strange.

How Death & MCU's Spider-Man Could Cross Paths In The MCU After No Way Home

Death Could Make An Appearance In The MCU's Spider-Man 4

Although Aubrey Plaza hasn't yet been confirmed to be returning to the MCU as Death, I reckon it's very likely that she'll be showing her face again, especially after Agatha Harkness' death. Death no longer has a romantic attachment to Kathryn Hahn's witch, so she is free to appear alongside other MCU heroes, and I think Peter Parker's Spider-Man would be an excellent choice. Spider-Man 4 is scheduled to be released shortly after Avengers: Doomsday in 2026, and I think this would be a great place for Death's return.

There has also been speculation that Marvel Studios' Spider-Man trilogy could introduce a new version of Spider-Man to the MCU, perhaps even Miles Morales. If this follows Marvel Comics' narrative, this could culminate in the death of Tom Holland's Peter Parker, which would certainly constitute an appearance from Aubrey Plaza's Death. While I would be pretty emotional to see Tom Holland depart from the MCU, it would fill me with joy to see Death return, especially if she gets the chance to show off more of her impressive gifts.

Spider-Man Meeting Death Would Adapt Parts Of Marvel's Own Comics

Spider-Man & Death Had An Adventure In Marvel Comics In 2016

Comic book : Spider-Man and Lady Death in Marvel Comics

Although Lady Death hasn't met Peter Parker's Spider-Man in Marvel Comics, Marvel Studios could still adapt one Spider-Man storyline into the MCU to bring Peter Parker and Death together. In 2016's Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy storyline, Lady Death takes the form of Marlo Chandler, who meets Ben Reilly, a clone of Peter Parker, after he is resurrected and begins operating as the villainous Jackal. I would love to see a storyline such as this adapted for the MCU, perhaps killing off Peter Parker and bringing him back as a twisted version of himself.

Ben Reilly, also known as the Scarlet Spider, was controversially introduced as the clone of Peter Parker in 1975's The Amazing Spider-Man #149. Reilly was voiced by Andy Samberg in 2023's animated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Lady Death actually teams up with Ben Reilly during Dead No More, drawn to him because of his constant resurrections. Peter Parker has already died in the MCU, as he fell victim to Thanos' snap with the Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War. Him being brought back and the magnitude of Doctor Strange's memory wipe spell has me thinking that he could be on Death's radar in the MCU already. If Spider-Man 4 partners Tom Holland's Spider-Man with Death, I reckon the movie could be one of the MCU's most spectacular and emotional movies yet.
