Of all the characters in the Thor: Love and Thunder scheduled to release in 2022.
However, how have his previous movie appearances gone down with Marvel addicts? We'll now take a look at the Rotten Tomatoes scores for each movie Thor has been in so far.
Thor: The Dark World (66%)
Chris Hemsworth has played Thor in eight movies to date. And it appears the worst of the lot was 2013's stellar cast, with Christopher Eccleston playing Malekith and Natalie Portman reprising her role as Jane Foster, but ultimately wasn't the greatest.
Rotten Tomatoes scored it 66 percent, which is the lowest of all 23 blockbusters so far. Iron Man 2 was given 73 percent.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron (75%)
Fans had high hopes for the second Avengers movie, entitled Avengers: Age of Ultron. The first had proven to be a roaring success and, with the likes of Ultron, Vision, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch ing the roster of heroes and villains, things were projected to be only getting better.
To this day, though, it remains divisive. It was scored at 75 percent on Rotten Tomatoes which means, once again, it was one of the lowest in the series. Thor plays a big role in the movie, helping the Avengers thwart Ultron's plans for world domination, but he alone wasn't enough to carry the movie to the heights it needed to go.
Thor (77%)
When we rewatch the first Thor movie we can't help but notice his bleach blonde eyebrows, something about which many have since complained. However, the impressive storytelling meant we were able to look past such an eyesore, with the movie picking up critical acclaim as well.
Certainly, 77 percent is nothing to be sniffed at. It meant the God of Thunder's time in the MCU got off to a solid start and has paved the way for all of the thrilling adventures he's had in the time since. Loki is a brilliant villain, too, and a complicated foe to overcome.
Avengers: Infinity War (85%)
Avengers: Infinity War was a brilliant movie for Thor, with the character arguably the standout of the bunch. He begins the film losing his brother Loki to the villainous Thanos, spends the middle part attempting to put a formidable new weapon together, and then, by the end, is a key player in the epic battle against the Mad Titan.
The 2018 picture was a classic and scores at 85 percent. Thor very nearly succeeds in stopping Thanos's evil plans but comes up tragically short, meaning he's unable to prevent the deaths of billions of people across the universe.
Doctor Strange (89%)
Doctor Strange is a movie that focuses very much on the rise of Stephen Strange from a doctor of medicine to the doctor of the universe. Thor doesn't appear in the main film but does pop up in the post-credits scene, talking to Benedict Cumberbatch's character about brother Loki and father Odin.
That means he's got nothing to do with the movie picking up a huge score of 89 percent. Fans and critics both enjoyed the movie and it meant Cumberbatch's time in the MCU started positively, as you'd expect from an actor of his high caliber.
The Avengers (92%)
Crossovers aren't always guaranteed to be a success. 2016's The Avengers, which came out back in 2012, was proof that such things can work if the storyline is well-crafted and the actors bring their A-game to the picture.
It's a thrilling sight seeing Thor fight alongside the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye for the very first time. They succeed in stopping Loki from destroying humanity but have no idea that it's actually Thanos, who appears in the post-credits scene, who has been pulling the strings the whole time.
Thor: Ragnarok (93%)
The first two Thor movies were solid, but not spectacular affairs. That all changed with 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, however, with the decision to get the eccentric Taika Waititi on board as director proving to be a masterstroke.
At a huge 93 percent, it's the second-best movie in the eyes of the critics over at Rotten Tomatoes. It tells the story of Thor battling against half-sister Hela, the Goddess of Death, who is intent on destroying Asgard and life for the God of Thunder as he knows it. Fortunately she's stopped from reigning supreme, with Thor relying on the help of Loki, Hulk, and Valkyrie in order to emerge victoriously.
Avengers: Endgame (94%)
It's been over a year since Avengers: Endgame released, but it's still fresh in the eyes of many due to how brilliant the movie is. And it's no surprise that the movie comes in on top of this list and the entire franchise in general, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it 94 percent out of 100.
Thor spends most of the movie struggling with his demons, feeling guilty for failing to stop Thanos from wiping out half of all life. But, by the end, he's back to his old self. He holds his own against the Mad Titan in battle and helps the Avengers not just bring everybody back, but defeat Thanos and his evil children at the same time.
