The Loki is set to Phase Four and expand the MCU through time travel and the multiverse.

The exact arcs from the comics aren’t possible to be adapted, but certain details should be included by accommodating them to the MCU’s backdrop. Through this, the show will have that connection to the comics that will bring a level of authenticity to the story that Loki is seeking to tell.

Loki's Shapeshifting Powers

The times where Loki has truly shown why he is the God of Mischief generally involve his use of shapeshifting powers. In the MCU, Loki has limited himself to putting on the disguises of other characters rather than animals or other creatures.

The Loki series should bring the titular character’s full abilities in this regard. This can include Loki changing into a female form as well, with the ideal way to execute this by bamboozling viewers over which character Loki is supposed to be impersonating.

Loki's Illusions Being Much Grander In Scale

Loki has cast illusions in the MCU, with this fooling several characters who thought Loki’s copies to be genuine. The comics have taken this on a grander scale as Loki has been able to cast illusions to fool entire cities, as seen in Journey into Mystery #96.

The TV series has to showcase Loki’s powers on a bigger scale than before since it would separate his role as a ing character from his previous appearances to his current placement as the show’s lead.

The Existence Of Alternate Universe Lokis

The Earth-616 Loki is the prime version in the comics, but there are many others from alternate universes. This includes Earth-94001’s Loki who successfully claimed Asgard, Earth-9997’s Loki who became the leader of the Avengers, and Earth-691’s Loki that lived on the moon.

Loki will be featuring the multiverse in some form, making it the ideal backdrop for other versions of the character to appear. This would allow for the evil side of Loki to be adapted without turning the actual protagonist into a villain. Not to mention the chance of seeing Tom Hiddleston portray multiple iterations of the same character.

Loki's Astral Projection

Loki was shown visiting his brother while invisible during his captivity with S.H.I.E.L.D. in Thor, but he had physically left Asgard to get there. Loki has the power to astrally project in the comics, best seen in Avengers #1, which allows him to travel across dimensional barriers.

Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch have displayed this ability in the MCU and it’s time Loki is seen utilizing it as well. After all, Loki ties-in with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, meaning the astral projection perfectly aligns with the two characters who will be in that movie as well.

Loki's Genius Level Intellect

Loki has displayed the mind of a genius in the comics, such as Thor #378 featuring his creation of a machine to increase Iceman’s powers. Only true MCU Loki fans feel that Loki is a genius in this universe, but it’s time for the Loki series to confirm it.

It’s a good detail to add since it also explains many things Loki has accomplished in the past that were attributed to Asgardian technology, along with opening up a way for Loki to trick the Time Variance Authority and remain one step ahead of it.

The Appearance Of Kid Loki

By far, the version of Loki with the best traits was when he was in child form. Journey Into Mystery #622 to #645 had featured a reformed child Loki born out of the sacrifice from the older one. This Loki was genuinely good and wanted to make up for his past.

While the Loki TV series doesn’t have to turn this Loki into a child, it should allude to this detail in the comics. This can be achieved through Loki visiting alternate timelines, one of which can feature Kid Loki. It would be a great nod toward a significant arc for the character in the comics where he was the lead protagonist.

Loki Using His Powers To Create Other Characters

Thor and Loki in the Trial of the Gods Cropped

Fans have loved the ways Loki has tried to prove he’s Thor’s superior, with the comics featuring the character creating villains to antagonize his brother. In fact, the long-enduring villain Absorbing Man was created by Loki in Journey into Mystery #114.

MCU’s Loki shouldn’t make this aspect an evil one but should include Loki’s ability to create powerful beings. He had a certain amount of control over the Chitauri in The Avengers and it would be interesting to see him have underlings around the same manner in this series that he would have empowered.

Loki Putting On The Disguises Of Superheroes  Wanda

Loki, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange as Magic s in the MCU

There’s definitely going to be some moment where Loki pulls off one of his trademark betrayals in the series. To this end, it would be perfect if he takes on the form of a significant superhero in the MCU as a way to fool both the viewers and in-universe characters.

He had done just this in Mighty Avengers #21 by taking on the form of Scarlet Witch to fool the Avengers. Loki had also impersonated Captain America in Thor: The Dark World to mock his brother, but the Loki series should up the ante by devoting a storyline toward this mode of deception.

Loki Showing True Remorse For His Actions

Loki dies in Siege comic book crossover.

The strange logic Loki has applied as a justification of his actions has influenced fans to make memes poking fun at this. However, he’s never actually apologized for anything, as Loki has either chosen to remain silent when confronted for his actions or pinned the blame on someone else.

With Loki set to focus on character development for the protagonist, it needs to take inspiration from Siege #4 where Loki’s last words were to apologize. Of course, Loki won’t be an antagonist here, but the general idea of feeling remorse and accepting responsibility is a detail the MCU needs to adapt.

Loki Having Control Of The Eye Of Agamotto And Cloak Of Levitation

The Earth-3515 version of Loki in Thor Vol 2 #68 had shown him to be the master of the Eye Of Agamotto and Cloak Of Levitation. While the Loki series shouldn’t adapt the plot of the comic, the point of him controlling Doctor Strange’s trademark items is certainly interesting.

Doctor Strange is one of the characters fans want to see in the series, with these items the best way to signal his arrival. Loki taking control of the cloak and the Eye of Agamotto would also be a way to dole out revenge for Doctor Strange one-upping him in Thor: Ragnarok.
