When it comes to The Avengers, they're known for being the ultimate heroes in the world, which most people presume would lead to them being dependable and reliable at all times. However, in reality, they're their own people, and that comes with different responsibilities as well, whether it be to children or partners, and that can sometimes pull them away.
There's no denying that The Avengers are always around when they're most needed, making a big impact and taking down any possible major threats. However, they're not absolutely always switched on to help each other. But out of all the heroes, who is the most reliable, and which could do a little more?
Hulk
There's no doubt that Hulk is a core member of The Avengers. His sheer size and strength make him a brilliant asset to have around, and Bruce Banner's brain has helped the group massively as well. But the nature of this character is unpredictability.
It's impossible to know what is going to happen when Hulk appears, as sometimes he can cause more damage than good. On top of that, there's a period where Hulk disappears, and then times when Bruce Banner is unable to produce his alter ego, which is why he's not one of the most reliable .
Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel is one of the newest of The Avengers, ing the team due to the battles with Thanos. She spent a long period of time not helping Earth at all, but her argument that there are other planets that need her is a valid one.
However, even when she's aware of Thanos, she's not always around to help the group. While she's more reliable than Hulk in a fight itself, if she was around more it would help The Avengers, as her power could have a massive impact.
Thor
Thor is a brilliant character and a powerful hero, but much like Hulk, he's not always around to help out. Thor can often disappear and head to something else, and sometimes his mind does wander. After his failure to defeat Thanos, his reliability drops dramatically, going into a slump where he doesn't help out his people or The Avengers as much as he should.
This isn't the only time that happens, and that is why he's ultimately not the most reliable person in the group. However, he does step up and help when the group truly needs him, and as one of the originals, he's had his fair share of battles and moments as an Avenger.
Ant-Man
Ant-Man is a classic reliable hero who always wants to help when he can. He's not quite as reliable as others, purely because he's not been called upon as often, but whenever he's needed, Ant-Man hasn't shown any problem in getting involved with the group.
While there is no doubt that his priority is his daughter and that Ant-Man sometimes is very starstruck, he has proven his reliability to the cause. There's a reason the group trusts him continuously, and it's down to the fact that he is someone who can be depended upon.
Falcon
From the moment Falcon is brought into the group there's no questioning his loyalty. This is why Captain America trusts him with his shield, because he knows that no matter what, Falcon will do his best with the responsibility. Falcon works hard and tries his best to learn and improve, while always being there for his fellow Avengers.
Whenever the group is in a fight, Falcon is always there, and he has his friend's backs no matter what. That reliability is what makes him stand out amongst a lot of the heroes, purely because he is all about grit and determination, which is why he's so beloved.
Hawkeye
Hawkeye is one of the original of the group and someone who dedicates a lot of time and effort to being in the group. He is someone who can always be relied upon when there is a serious situation unfolding, and the only times he changes that is when his family needs him, or when he is forced by law.
However, even then he ends up being with the group no matter what, proving the trust others have in him is justified. He's a character that might not always be the focal point of the movies, but he is ever-present, showcasing how reliable he is.
Iron Man
Iron Man is one of the most important of The Avengers, and he is very loyal to the cause. While he's arguably more focused on being Iron Man than a team player, he is someone who is around to help the group a lot, to the point where it damages his relationships outside of being a superhero.
His rift with Captain America does make him less reliable, but ultimately he comes back to help come up with the ideas to save the world. Iron-Man literally gives his life for the group and the world, and that proves what a reliable person he is.
Spider-Man
He might be the youngest member of The Avengers, but that doesn't stop him from being one of the most reliable as well. The web-slinger is someone with a lot of ion and excitement and because of that, he is happy to leap into action in any situation when called upon.
Peter Parker is simply just excited to be there, and that's why he always wants to be around. Even in situations that are perhaps past his skill level, he still wants to be involved, and his reliability is one of the reasons Tony Stark sees so much potential in him.
Black Widow
Black Widow is one of the original of the group and she's someone who becomes dedicated to their cause. She's happy to go around and try to recruit people, yet Black Widow is also first in the fight when needed as well.
She takes on leadership roles and communicates with a wide range of heroes in order to pull things together when things get serious with Thanos, and her overall work is truly brilliant. She is reliable and ever-present within the group which helps to make her such an iconic part of the MCU.
Captain America
Captain America is Mr. Dependable, which is ultimately why he's considered to be the leader of the group. He's the face of The Avengers and someone who is always there, from the start of his journey in the army to his return out of the ice all the way to battling Thanos, Captain America never shies away from a fight.
He is always happy to help people whether that be in a fight or as a friend, showcasing his reliability on just being a person. That's something that gives him the edge over the rest of his fellow Avengers and is what makes him the ultimate Avenger.
