The release of Avengers: Endgame is rapidly approaching, and fans hoping to do an MCU rewatch before the movie hits theaters have missed the chance to do it on a weekly basis. Marvel Studios has redefined the way Hollywood and movie fans look at franchises thanks to their interconnected universe. While many Marvel series still can exist on their own, there are multiple examples of MCU films setting up or tying together other entries that increase excitement over what is coming next.
This is exactly what Marvel is going for with Avengers: Endgame. The fourth Avengers film is also the fourth MCU movie to be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. They've been given the task of not only closing Phase 3, which they kicked it off with culmination of the entire MCU to this point, and this could mean that fans will finally have to say goodbye to some of the most beloved characters.

But telling the final chapter of the original of the Avengers is just part of how Avengers: Endgame will look to wrap up a story eleven years in the making. Although it is not yet confirmed, it is heavily believed that just as many did before Infinity War. However, thanks to the large quantity of movies the MCU has, it is already too late to start a weekly MCU rewatch.
We are currently fifteen weeks away from Avengers: Endgame being in theaters, which makes it impossible to squeeze in every MCU movie before the release if you just watch one a week. Those who may have been interested in doing such a rewatch will now have to figure out a completely different viewing schedule. The simplest solution may just be to double up for a few weeks to knock out Phase 1 and move quicker into Phase 2. If someone wants to commit to watching two films every week, then they can wait until mid-February to start their rewatch.
One important factor to be aware of for any rewatch, though, is Black Panther, but it's unclear whether Carol Danvers' film will have similar legs.
However, there are plenty of different ways to do an MCU rewatch prior to Avengers: Endgame that could get the job done. We previously recommended doing one not based on the release schedule but instead on where the films are set in the MCU timeline. This puts Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 jumps up into the Phase 2 grouping of films.

Whatever viewing order one chooses to do for their MCU rewatch, the point is that we're already in the final stretch for Avengers: Endgame and it may be best to start doing rewatches as soon as possible.
