The heroes of the MCU are known for doing whatever they can to save the day. They put their own lives on the line and battle dangerous and powerful enemies all to see good triumph over evil. But in some cases, the solution is much simpler than all that and things could have been cleared up with a bit of talking.

The MCU heroes clearly have a lot of positive traits, but many of them can be quite temperamental at times. Situations that could be handle with some rational words get blown out of proportion leading to sometimes world-threatening events.

Bucky Re Steve

Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier Bucky in Captain America

One of the most beloved friendships in the MCU is between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. So Steve was clearly devastated to lose Bucky during the war. But in a tragic twist of fate, Steve finds himself battling a new villain known as the Winter Soldier who turns out to be Bucky all along.

While Bucky shows no sign of ing  Steve when they first encounter each other, he later tells Alexander Pierce that he recognized Steve before his memory is wiped again. If Bucky had just stopped for a moment and asked Steve some follow-up questions, he could have ed who he was and helped foil Hydra's plan.

Of course, Peter's plan goes terribly wrong. It turns out Tony did tell the authorities about Toomes and the FBI set up a sting operation to catch him, which Peter foiled. If Tony had just followed through and explained the situation, Toomes would have been arrested a lot earlier.

Hank Won't Let Hope Be The Hero

Hope, Scott, and Hank in Ant-Man

When Scott Lang is recruited to become Ant-Man by Hank Pym, it is clear that he has a lot of work to do to become a hero. Hank works hard to train him as they race against the clock to stop the Pym Particles from being duplicated.

However, it is clear from the beginning that Hank's daughter Hope is ready and able to pull off the job right now, but Hank refuses to let her without explanation. He finally reveals the truth about what happened to Hope's mother on a mission and wants to save Hope from the same fate. If this discussion had taken place a lot earlier, they could have resolved the issue and used Hope for the job.

The Skrulls Aren't Bad

Talos Skrulls

Before discovering her past life on Earth, Carol Danvers was a Kree warrior fighting against the Kree's sworn enemies, the shape-shifting Skrulls. She pursues the Skrulls to Earth where they are apparently searching for a weapon.

After a lot of fighting and running around, Carol learns the truth that the Skrulls are refugees who are looking to escape the rule of the evil Kree. This would have been a valuable bit of information to bring up when the Skrulls originally captured Carol and could have sped things along quite a bit.

The Airport Battle

The airport battle in Captain America Civil War

Captain America and Iron Man are probably the two most central heroes in the MCU, but they find themselves fighting against one another in Civil War. After the government calls for oversight of the Avengers, Cap goes rogue to save Bucky and help defeat a group of super-soldiers who could cause chaos throughout the world.

While the heroes talked about the Accords at length and still ended up disagreeing, it really didn't have to come down to a fight. Cap should have taken the time to explain the seriousness of the situation and Iron Man should have listened before they started punching each other.

Killmonger Wants Revenge

Killmonger and Black Panther

After becoming the new king of Wakanda, T'Challa learns about the existence of Killmonger, his cousin. He learns that Killmonger's father betrayed Wakanda and was killed by T'Challa's father who then left Killmonger behind. T'Challa sees this as a terrible thing his father did.

But when Killmonger shows up in Wakanda, T'Challa shows him no sympathy. He first tries to lock him away then agrees to fight him instead of addressing what his father did and trying to make it right.

The Avengers Hate Each Other

An image of Captain America and Iron Man standing next to each other. Captain America is in his uniform while Iron Man is not

When Loki readies an alien army to invade Earth, Nick Fury sees this as the right moment to bring together the Avengers for the first time to save the world. Unfortunately, the super team is filled with massive egos that are constantly butting heads.

Instead of addressing the problem of Loki and how to stop him, the heroes spend their time bickering and fighting each other like children. All it would take was for everyone to calm down and see the bigger problem at hand and the movie would have been a lot shorter.

Quill Ruins Everything

Peter Quill gets in Thanos' face in Avengers: Infinity War

As soon as Thanos steps on the scene in Avengers: Infinity War, he proves himself to be an extremely powerful foe. But that does not stop the Avengers from almost beating him before he can collect all the Infinity Stones. After ambushing him on Titan, the gathered heroes come very close to removing his gauntlet.

Sadly, Peter Quill, perhaps the most immature hero in the MCU, takes this opportunity to question Thanos about Gamora. When he discovers that Thanos killed her, Quill loses his cool and attacks Thanos, ruining the plan. If the others had talked Quill down, they could have explained he can have his revenge as soon as the gauntlet is removed.

Wanda Is The Enemy

Pietro shows up at Wanda's home

sort of the villain of her own story, albeit a very sympathetic one. After losing Vision, she constructs a fake reality where they can live happily ever after.

It seems Wanda didn't consider what this reality would do to the people trapped inside. It is not until the finale when she realizes the pain she has caused that she tears it all down, but if the authorities helped her realize this earlier, a lot of trouble could have been avoided.

Iron Man Wants To Kill Bucky

Iron Man and Bucky fight in Captain America: Civil War

After the battle at the airport in Civil War, Tony finally sees Cap was right all along and s him and Bucky to stop Zemo. But that is just what Zemo wanted. With the three heroes gathered, Zemo reveals that Bucky killed Tony's parents.

As shocking as that news is for Tony to hear, some calm words could have ended Zemo's plan right there. Instead of Bucky trying to run, they could have reminded Tony that he was a brainwashed assassin who had no idea what he was doing.
