With the MCU changed as we know it, and the events of Multiverse of Madness spelling uncertainty for the future of Wanda's character, fans are left wondering whether they will see the Scarlet Witch once more, with the character possibly dying at the end of the film. Yet, with superheroes, all things are possible, and the Scarlet Witch may live once more.

MCU Halloween Special

After dominating the box office and the ever-competitive field of streaming, the MCU has now set its sights on holiday specials, as it is set to premiere both a Christmas special starring the Guardians of the Galaxy and a Halloween special within the next several years. The latter of these two specials is set to feature more horror-related Marvel characters, including the debut of Jack Russell, the Werewolf by Night, confirmed to be portrayed by Gael Garcia Bernal.

Given that the surreal has always been a regular characteristic of the Scarlet Witch, she could make a fantastic addition to this horror-bound spectacle. Audiences have already seen Wanda embrace her darker side in Multiverse of Madness, leading to some of the most terrifying depictions of horror ever seen in the MCU. Scarlet Witch would fit quite nicely into this Halloween event and could act as its connection to the larger franchise.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania

Antman and the Wasp Quantumania

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to be a far different film than the two prior entries to the franchise. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are returning as the titular superheroes, who will face off against Jonathan Majors's powerful multiversal villain, Kang the Conqueror. As the title suggests, this battle will likely go down in the mysterious Quantum Realm, where Kang rules the city of Chronopolis.

Wanda has already proven herself to be a multiversal menace on a grand scale, messing with the cosmic balance in order to achieve her own ends. If she survived the events of Multiverse of Madness, she may have entered the crosshairs of Kang himself, making her a target of perhaps the most dangerous threat she has ever faced.

House Of Harkness

Agatha Harkness will become WandaVision antagonist's solo foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would appear that the series is rapidly preparing to enter into production, meaning that audiences could possibly see House of Harkness hit Disney+ before the end of 2023.

With Wanda having come to her senses regarding her dark deeds, she may come to regret some of her actions, including that of imprisoning Agatha in her own mind. It may be Wanda herself who inevitably frees Agatha from this living hell, perhaps even allying herself with her former enemy, who had warned her of the dangers of her own powers long before she wrought her havoc on the multiverse.

Loki Season 2

Loki is the only MCU Disney+ series to have confirmation of a second season in the works, implying that the eponymous god of mischief still has a role to play in the ensuing battle against Kang the Conqueror.

Loki and Sylvie surprisingly had no role to play in the events of Multiverse of Madness, remaining totally absent from the film as a whole. This indicates that there are still new loose threads to explore regarding the multiverse, ones that may require the power of the Scarlet Witch to be resolved. With the character's status as a nexus being still unconfirmed, she may require the multiversal knowledge of the TVA to come to a full realization of her powers.

A Scarlet Witch Solo Film

Scarlet Witch is one of the few important characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that has yet to be featured in her very own film franchise. While she did act as the primary protagonist of the hit Disney+ series WandaVision, many fans have been hoping for the powerful Avenger to get her own film or films in the near future of the MCU.

If the audience is meant to continue to sympathize with the character of Wanda moving forward, she must seek some sort of redemption for her horrific deeds during the events of Multiverse of Madness. There remains plenty more to explore regarding the character's deep grief, even after it drove her to take such drastic actions. A solo movie franchise could take the liberty of putting Wanda on a quest to atone for her sins, perhaps even paying the ultimate price in order to right her wrongs.

A House Of M Film

The MCU had been hinting toward its own version of the famous comic storyline "House of M" for a long time before Multiverse of Madness. With yet another Scarlet Witch appearance coming and going without the culmination of this storyline, fans are beginning to wonder if and when this monumental moment will occur in the MCU.

While Multiverse of Madness doesn't explicitly explore "House of M," it does leave the door open for the storyline to occur down the road, perhaps with an entire film dedicated solely to its fulfillment. The mutants remain an entity introduced to Wanda's world who could very well see their introduction to such an event film as this storyline would create.

X-Men

Multiverse of Madness accomplished the long-awaited task of beginning the introduction of the mutants to the MCU, albeit slowly, with Professor X marking the first confirmed mutant in the franchise. As such, fans know that it won't be long before Marvel Studios announces the next appearance of the X-Men in their very own rebooted franchise. With such a project likely to introduce a host of new characters to the MCU, certain familiar faces might be a soothing presence in what is sure to be a paradigm-redefining entry to a larger universe.

Once the MCU finally begins work on its X-Men franchise, Wanda Maximoff can finally be confirmed as the mutant that she has always been known to be in the comic books, at last giving the character answers about who she is and where her powers come from. The film may also choose to delve into her family, as it is a well-established fact in the comics that Wanda is the daughter of the mutant villain Magneto, a relationship which could factor heavily into the future of the X-Men in the MCU.
