The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness set to introduce the first batch of X-Men, beginning with Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier.
Given the long list of mutants from the comics, there are plenty of characters that fans are dying to see portrayed on the big screen. One such X-Men member is Jubilee, a prominent figure in X-Men comics from the early 1990s and X-Men: The Animated Series. Given that Jubilee has yet to see a truly accurate onscreen portrayal, fans have taken to Reddit to profess their dream casting choices for the young mutant character.
Chelsea Zhang
One Reddit was excited to be offering a fan cast other than Wolverine, lamenting the lack of notoriety for most other mutants en route to the MCU. Offering a suggestion of an actress for the character of Jubilee, itsaslothlife writes "Chelsea Zhang from Titans? She did some good work for a frankly poor season, and used to be a competitive figure skater so [she] has a good physical presence for stunts and fighting."
Zhang, known for her role as Rose Wilson in the DC series Titans, could certainly conjure the youthful energy necessary to bring the character of Jubilee to life. Given the actress's history with comic book roles, she would fit right in with an increasingly humongous franchise without being overshadowed by the dozens of other mutants, as has been the case with the character in previous portrayals.
Fan Bingbing
Given the tendency of Fox's X-Men franchise to underuse genuinely interesting actor-character matchups, Redditor Days of Future Past."
As the Redditor points out, Fan Bingbing does have a history with the X-Men, having portrayed the mutant Blink in a relatively small role in Days of Future Past. Though the film is one of the better-received installments of the franchise, Blink had very little screen time, leaving fans of the character and the actress disappointed. Should Fan Bingbing return to portray Jubilee, however, some consolation could be found for those let down previously.
Melissa O'Neil
A Reddit by the name of Dark Matter actress Melissa O'Neil be the one to take on such a role.
O'Neil has had a promising beginning to her career, appearing in several noteworthy projects over the past several years. Despite her early successes, however, the actress has yet to find the perfect role to shoot her to superstardom. Given the extreme notoriety of the MCU as a whole, attaining a role therein could be just the thing to give O'Neil the breakout role she needs.
Olivia Liang
In a lengthy MCU "dream cast" curated by Redditor nerdlygames which includes Giancarlo Esposito as Professor X and Christoph Waltz as Magneto, a casting call is made for newcomer Olivia Liang to shoulder the massive task of playing Jubilee for the MCU.
As an actress relatively new to the Hollywood scene, Olivia Liang could provide the fresh face that Marvel Studios is likely looking for when it comes to their rebooted X-Men franchise. Her recent role on the CW series Kung Fu has already demonstrated the actress's competency in action-heavy roles, giving her a leg up on some of the competition for this coveted role.
Madison Hu
Sometimes, the MCU chooses a relatively unknown actress to take on roles that they hope to redefine in their own franchise. This could be the case with Abject_Cellist_4896's suggestion of Madison Hu, who they argue could "make a good fit for Jubilee" as a good way for the actress to "break out of the Disney Channel scene."
Madison Hu has spent the early years of her career on Disney Channel series such as Best Friends Whenever and Bizaardvark. Hu may not be the most well-known suggestion for Jubilee among fans, but she may turn out to be one of the most promising, as her casting could lead to a reasonably long tenure for the character in the MCU as the MCU continues to build up the X-Men for its next phases.
Awkwafina
Commenting on a post that argued just the opposite, Jiachobucci voices their opinion that Awkwafina could garner a great performance as Jubilee. They write "If she didn't already play Katy in Shang-Chi, I probably wouldn't mind seeing Awkwafina as Jubilee. I guess it could still happen, it isn't like the MCU hasn't done it before."
While Awkwafina recently appeared as one-half of Shang-Chi, this doesn't entirely discount her from appearing in a different role within the MCU in the future. Already, actors such as Michelle Yeoh, Gemma Chan, and Mahershala Ali have appeared as two separate characters within the franchise. Therefore, while it seems unlikely, Awkwafina taking on the role of Jubilee for the MCU is far from impossible.
Chloe Bennet
A Reddit by the handle of _Multiforms sparked some excitement at their request that Chloe Bennet, an actress very familiar to Marvel fans, portray Jubilee. Another , LPOLED, chimed in later on, writing that "if she can't be Quake, I'd still love to see her back in the MCU."
Chloe Bennet, known for playing series regular Daisy Johnson, a.k.a. Quake, in Though many believe Quake deserves to the MCU Avengers, including the actress that turned the character into an iconic member of a beloved series might be enough to appease her many fans.
Jamie Chung
In a star-studded fan cast that included Jason Momoa as the villainous mutant Sabretooth, Ana de Armas as Mystique, and Tom Hardy as the Wolverine, Redditor Ok_Effort_2072 also suggests that Sucker Punch actress Jamie Chung become the MCU's version of Jubilee.
Jamie Chung has been a prolific actress when it comes to increasing the visibility of Asian-American actresses in film and television. As a familiar face to many viewers from her roles in The Misfits, The Hangover trilogy, and Dangerous Lies, Chung could make for the perfect actress to take on the role of Jubilee, whom many fans hope is finally done justice in live-action.
Peyton Elizabeth Lee
Commenting under a post calling for Disney channel actress Peyton Elizabeth Lee to play a live-action Jubilee for the MCU, Dr_charisma writes that this choice is "perfect casting." They go on to suggest that Lee looks "exactly like the 90s animated character."
Though she is incredibly early in her career, Lee has already proven to be a viable star, especially in her turn as the titular character in the Disney Channel series Andi Mack. Lee has already displayed the talent that proves her ability to grow into a hero capable of leading the MCU moving forward.
Lana Condor
While the prospect of a brand new Jubilee is always exciting, some fans believe that previous actresses were not given the proper opportunity to shine in the role. One such fan, by the name of JosiahSilas, believes that Lana Condor, who portrayed the character in X-Men: Apocalypse, deserves a second shot, writing "They did her dirty in Apocalypse. They could have her reprise the role because she barely played [Jubilee] the first time."
Jubilee is one of many mutants in Fox's X-Men franchise that rarely got the screentime she deserved. Though Apocalypse was the film to feature the character most prominently, Condor still felt like an afterthought within the film itself, despite the actress turning in a promising performance therein. Many fans feel as though Condor deserves a real opportunity to prove herself in the role of Jubilee, and would love to see her return in the MCU.
