The latter half of the Unreal Engine 5 video offers a brief overview as to how the creator went about deg this impressive project, which will undoubtedly increase hopes for a Metal Gear Solid remake of some kind. Though rumors and speculation insist a remake is indeed in the works, specifically for MGS3, Konami and Co. remain mum on the matter.
Apart from the ill-received Metal Gear Survive that launched in February 2018, the franchise's last entry of consequence hit store shelves in 2015 in the form of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. To the chagrin of many a fan, it marked the end of an era due to series creator Hideo Kojima's departure from the Konami ranks. What the publisher has planned for the brand next in of AAA game releases presently remains a mystery.
