There are a few ways to get Magla Pills in Metaphor: ReFantazio, including farming, but utilizing all of them is a must to get the most out of the consumable items that restore MP. Each Magla Pill restores 20 MP with every munch on these magic-infused snacks. That makes them a massive necessity for exploring longer dungeons since being able to use MP-intensive skills for longer means you won't have to use multiple skills to explore a single dungeon. They're seemingly random drops, but there is a surefire way to get them to appear more often.

Unlike healing items like Medicinal Herbs, MP-restorative items are much rarer since Studio Zero knows how valuable they are in making these dungeon crawls easier. It isn't as challenging as other feats in the game, though, like when learning to defeat the Devourer of Stars boss in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Once you master the technique of farming more Magla Pills, you'll be able to enjoy being able to replenish your MP throughout exploration sessions in dungeons to make the most of your precious time even more than you could before.

How To Farm Magla Pills Fast

Hunt More Serpetias

Metaphor ReFantazio combat against Serpetias in the Nord Mines to farm Magla Pills.

In the early sections of Metaphor: ReFantazio, a great way to farm Magla Pills is by repeatedly defeating Serpetias in dig site #3 of the Nord Mines dungeon. Not every Serpetia you will defeat drops a Magla Pill, but you can earn them through trial and error by having all enemies you've beaten respawn by leaving and re-entering a re-loadable area, the same method as when you're trying to farm EXP and MAG in Metaphor: ReFantazio in a fast amount of time.

Metaphor: ReFantazio - Archetypes Tier List

This Metaphor: ReFantazio Archetypes tier list will tell you which of the many classes available in the game are the best to use in the huge campaign.

For example, in the Storehouse area of Nord Mines, you'll soon carry on to dig site #3. This has a handful of different enemies, including Serpetias. Defeat all the red snake-looking enemies and bag as many Magla Pills as they drop. However, when you have run out of them, you can just run back into the Storehouse section. Run back into Dig Site #3, and you will find that all enemies, including the Serpetias, have respawned so that you can defeat them again to try and get more Magla Pills. Rinse and repeat until you have all you need.

Where To Get More Magla Pills

Merchants, Other Enemies & Chests

There are other enemies in Metaphor: ReFantazio that can drop Magla Pills as well during the later sections of the game, like Papyros in the Giant Sandworm Nest dungeon, where you take on Heismay or Moths that the red Trance Crystals spawn in the Dungeon. To make this even easier, though, you should have all party learn and rank up the Merchant Archetype to rank 2 to learn Lucky Find. This increased the drop rate of items after a battle by 20%, including Magla Pills.

Magla Pills can also be found in various chests throughout explorable dungeons in Euchronia.

While this isn't a farming method, players can also regularly buy Magla Pills through certain merchants throughout Euchronia. The merchant in Komero, for instance, will have five Magla Pills to sell for the price of 250 Reeves each. The issue is that it's hard to pinpoint exactly when merchants replenish their stock, but I've found this to be roughly once every in-game week. To be safe, purchase a merchant's whole stock of Magla Pills if you happen to come across any since you can never have too many.

How To Use Magla Pills

Top Up Your Team's Stamina

You can use Magla Pills anytime during exploration or in combat. To make the best use of your time, like when after you unlock speed cooking, you should only use these out of battle so you can free up your Turn Icons for buffing your party and dealing out damage to your opponents. As you farm Magla Pills and buy as many as you can from merchants you find, it's best to stockpile as many as you can before taking on the larger time-limited dungeons throughout the campaign.

Many of the bigger dungeons are designed so that you would usually need two attempts to beat them since you would eventually run out of MP, requiring you to leave and return once you're recharged. Saving up 20 Magla Pills, for example, will provide an extra 100 MP for each member of your four-person party to hopefully push you to the end if you've been conservative with your skill usage. to farm Magla Pills from Serpetias and buy any you see from merchants in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and you'll have all you need.
