In Metaphor: ReFantazio, players fight for the chance to be chosen by the people as the next monarch. In the quest for the throne, players must focus on important stats to prove they have what it takes to lead. The Royal Virtues are one of these qualities and come in a set of five: Courage, Wisdom, Tolerance, Eloquence, and Imagination.

Each of the Royal Virtues has certain characteristics and qualities. Imagination affects problem-solving. Plus, increasing Imagination improves Follower Bonds and unlocks dialogue and quest options. However, each Royal Virtue requires players to increase them to progress and unlock more of the story.

How To Increase Imagination

Interact With Characters And Complete Quests

Increasing your chosen character's Imagination Royal Virtue in Metaphor: ReFantazio means interacting with the world around you. You can do so by talking and spending time with certain characters, reading books, and completing specific quests. For example, talking to characters like the Chatty Elder and the Clumsy Man can improve your imagination.

Chatty Elder is found hanging around Sunlumeo Street and the Grad Trad, while the Clumsy Man usually hangs around the Opera House Square, though you can also find him at Altabury Heights throughout the day. You can also read the New World Travel Diary or Literacy Workbook to improve your Imagination, but don't forget to also improve your Eloquence and other Virtues along the way.

Then there’s the quest side of things. If you’re someone who enjoys completing quests, then you’re in luck because there are quite a few that reward you with Imagination Royal Virtue. Just a few include More’s Task: Foreword and Prologue, More’s Task Chapter One: Ordeal, More’s Task Chapter Two: Solitude, and More’s Task Chapter Three: Drifting. You’ll find that each chapter has a quest that will increase your Imagination in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

As you complete these activities and quests, you’ll notice your Imagination rank increases. As your rank increases, you’ll begin opening new conversation options. You’ll also unlock new quests, like a questline with Alonzo, which requires an Imagination rank of 2.

The Imagination Royal Virtue in Metaphor: ReFantazio is made up of five ranks. You should aim for the highest rank to unlock more conversations, quests, and features. To reach the highest rank, make sure you’re interacting with and spending time with the right characters and completing the right missions. To unlock the entirety of Metaphor: ReFantazio, you should aim to level up all of your Royal Virtues to the highest rank.

As you progress through the ranks, you’ll also unlock more shops. Don’t forget to check them daily as their inventories are always changing.
