There are various upgrades to obtain in Metroid Dread ranging from new weapons to unique suits. Each suit is in a different location and will give Samus special abilities once equipped. While exploring, players will come across the new suits, as well as other abilities and upgrades, that are held by Chozo Statues.

The Chozo Statues are monuments created by the Chozo race for the purpose of observing life on other planets. In Metroid Dread, these statues can be found all over the map holding upgrades and new abilities for Samus to collect. Upgrades, such as the wide-beam cannon upgrade and several new suits, will help Samus in combat against difficult opponents and bosses.

Where to Find New Suits in Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread Gravity Suit Chozo Statue

Metroid Dread's suits grant Samus special new abilities that are needed to progress in the game. Using these suits will help players get through dangerous areas like flooded regions or areas that deal heat damage. The three suits players can unlock are the Varia suit, the Gravit suit, and the Metroid suit. The Varia suit is the first one players will come across and is located in Artaria. Return from Cataris in the red teleportation device and go down into the water. Keep going north to reach the topmost point of Artaria. Samus will need to change the thermal flow and escape a collapsing area along the way. After that, the only way to go will lead to the Chozo Statue holding the Varia suit.

The Gravity suit is held by a Chozo Statue in the central-southern area of Burenia. Players will need to use the Morph Ball, Pulse Radar, and Space Jump in order to reach the suit. Collect the suit in the bottom-left part of the chamber near the missile door. The last suit is the Metroid Suit, which is only unlocked during the final boss fight. Samus will obtain the suit during the fight with Raven Beak, and it gives her the power to beat the final boss.

The three suits in Metroid Dread can be unlocked for new abilities. Along with these suits, there are a variety of additional collectibles, such as the charge beam, for players to find. Obtaining all of the suits and ability upgrades in Metroid Dread will help Samus easily defeat nearly any enemy she comes across.
