On shows My Hero Academia’s Izuku Midoriya in his Deku costume with Spider-Man, whose outfit has been augmented with black lines across the arms, torso, and legs. Deku utilizes his special Black Whip power to swing along with Spider-Man, who prepares to shoot out another web.
Fans eagerly took to the picture, complimenting the creativity of the commissioned artwork. Inspired by the art, one X even hoped for a My Hero Academia shooter to be added to the increasingly popular Marvel Rivals game.
Killer Art Shows Marvel's Spider-Man and My Hero Academia's Deku Teaming Up
Fans Love Seeing These Two Amazing Heroes Side by Side
My Hero Academia is a popular shonen manga series set in a world where people were born with special abilities known as Quirks and heroes were extremely commonplace. Despite being born without a Quirk, Izuku gets the chance of a lifetime when his idol and number one hero All-Might chooses the young man to be his successor and es on his power. Izuku then begins training alongside other young men and women as part of a special education track designed to turn them into proper heroes, though danger lurks around every corner in the form of insidious and powerful villains.
It's no surprise that Spider-Man and Deku work so well together. Marvel and Weekly Shonen Jump just teamed up back in December to celebrate the final volume of My Hero Academia and creator Kohei Horikoshi mentioned how much Spider-Man influenced him. He even produced art that showcased Deku and All-Might with Spider-Man to honor the hero that inspired him so. While the main series is over, given Horikoshi's appreciation for Marvel's web-slinger and the warm reception by fans for potential crossovers, why not go all the way and actually bring Deku to the Marvel Universe for an adventure with Spider-Man?
Spider-Man and Deku Would Make for the Perfect Team-Up
Fans Everywhere Deserve to See These Two Icons on an Adventure Together
Despite their different worlds and upbringings, these two heroes are remarkably similar. Both overcame tremendous adversity, both are beloved figures in the superhero community, and both are constantly pushing themselves to be better heroes. Marvel's no stranger to intercompany crossovers (Heck, Godzilla's about to come to face the Avengers in a few months). Now that his ongoing story is over, it's the perfect time to bring Deku over for a team-up with Spider-Man, even if it's just a one-shot. Given how much fans loved this Sonchapoo's art, there's not a fan alive that wouldn't appreciate a Spider-Man/My Hero Academia crossover.

Spider-Man is the name given to several individuals who have employed a spider-moniker throughout Marvel Comics. Typically gaining their powers through a bite from a radioactive spider, the different Spider-Man heroes employ super-strength, agility, and intellect while utilizing webbing to swing and tangle up their foes. The most notable of these Spider-Men is Peter Parker, who remains one of the most popular superheroes throughout the world.
