Warning! Spoilers for Midnight Suns #1 by Marvel Comics

The new iteration of the Midnight Suns team has officially formed, as a series of magical visions has brought one of Marvel's most badass superteams together. In Midnight Suns #1 by Marvel Comics, a connected vision from Strange Academy student Zoe Laveau hints at a coming apocalypse. As a result, Wolverine, Kushala, Magik, and more heroes from across the Marvel Universe assemble to take on the pending threat.

The original Midnight Sons team was formed by Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch's Ghost Rider after receiving a dark vision about the potential damage Lilith would cause after being resurrected. That team featured the likes of Blade, Morbius, Hannibal King, and more supernatural characters. There have been a few iterations of the team since, which have featured mainly magical heroes against supernatural threats. Additionally, a version of the group called Midnight Suns, featuring Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Nico Minoru, Magik, and Scarlet Witch will be a part of a new roster in an video game from 2K studios that is set to be released in December.

In Midnight Suns #1 by Ethan Sacks, Luigi Zagara, Antonio Fabela, and VC's Joe Sabino from Marvel Comics, Strange Academy student Zoe Laveau excitingly meets one of her idols, Blade, who gives a guest lecture at the magical school about "defense against vampires." However, after the class, Zoe es out as a vision shows dark entities and a coming apocalypse. The vision is collective, as many magical forces, including Doctor Doom, experience a glimpse into the dark future. As a result, a new Midnight Suns team starts to form to prevent the vision from happening.

The new team is thrown into action after the dark entities seen in Laveau's vision come to Strange Academy. As Agatha Harkness teleports Laveau to safety, the new Midnight Suns featuring Magik, Nico Minoru, Blade, and Wolverine take on the shadow creatures. Meanwhile, the Spirit Rider, Kushala, s the fight after experiencing the vision as well. The five heroes make up the Midnight Suns team, with Doctor Doom making a surprise appearance in search of Zoe at the end of the issue.

The badass new Midnight Suns, which makes more sense than the video game version, is extremely powerful, as the likes of Wolverine, Magik, and Blade give them plenty of firepower to stop the apocalypse they saw in Laveau's vision. Can the team overcome Doctor Doom hunting Laveau as they try to stop the dark future from coming true?
