Adult Swim cancels Mike Tyson Mysteries after four seasons. The animated comedy series from Warner Bros. debuted on Adult Swim in 2014 and centered around retired boxer Mike Tyson while he attempted to solve mysteries, as the title suggests. Following the style of cartoons from the '70s-era, Mysteries also featured Tyson's team of mystery solvers, including Norm Macdonald as Tyson's best friend Pigeon, Jim Rash as the Ghost of the Marquess of Queensbury, and Rachel Ramras as Tyson's adopted daughter Yung Hee. Adult Swim is known for its weird, surreal comedy shows, and Mysteries was no different. Now the show, which finished its fourth season back in February, will not be returning.

After four seasons, Adult Swim is canceling Mike Tyson Mysteries. On the The Modern Moron podcast (via ComingSoon.net), staff writer Larry Dorf confirmed the show's cancelation, revealing the decision to end the show was made toward the beginning of the year. "Well, I was a writer for Mike Tyson Mysteries," said Dorf. "Mike Tyson Mysteries is not a show anymore. It's been canceled... It was very fun. It was a funny show, but it's all done." Dorf also revealed that he and some others involved with the show had pitched a new series to Warner Bros Animation.

The news follows the cancellation of another popular Adult Swim animated series earlier this week. The Venture Bros., which ran for seven seasons, was axed while the writers were in the midst of working on season eight. The unexpected cancellation caused much disappointment for both fans and the show's team. Like The Ventures Bros., Mysteries garnered a cult following for its bizarre humor and weird characters.

Mike Tyson Mysteries was created by Tyson, Hugh Davidson, and Lee Stimmel and developed by Davidson and Giancarlo Volpe. After four seasons of Tyson's nonsensical and wacky adventures, the eccentric series will likely be missed by fans.
