Warning: Contains spoilers for Aliens vs. Avengers #1!A horrific development for Alien crossover kicks off with a bang. In the miniseries’ dystopian alternate future, Miles has grown up and remains one of the last Avengers standing in the fight against Xenomorphs. When he literally comes face-to-face with one of the horror franchise’s terrifying creatures, the results are truly amazing.
Miles is suddenly attacked by one of the Alien series’ Facehuggers in the final scene of Aliens vs. Avengers #1, written by Jonathan Hickman with art by Esad Ribić. Though this attack would usually end up being fatal, Miles is revealed to have a symbiote suit that protects him from the Facehugger. Astoundingly, this symbiote suit actually combines with the creature before re-bonding with Spider-Man.
The symbiote fending off the attack ends up making for one of the most unbelievable Spider-Man costumes ever, a white suit with a black symbiote-Facehugger design across the chest and the signature red spider in the center.

Venom-ized Xenomorph Concept Art is The Marvel x ALIEN Crossover Comics Need Next
Venom and his symbiote brood use many different hosts in comics, with the Alien franchise's Xenomorph getting the Venom-ized treatment in new fanart!
Miles Morales’ Facehugger Attack Makes Him the Deadliest (and Coolest) Spider-Man Ever
Miles Morales narrowly surviving an alien attack, with the help of a different alien species, has led him to become an all-new and extremely deadly Spider-Man variant. The crossover featuring the Alien Xenomorphs at war with the Avengers is already fulfilling its promise of blending sci-fi horror with superhero action, turning one of the franchise’s creepy crawlies into an actual power boost for one of Marvel’s heroes. Though the Facehuggers are known to debilitate their victims and plant the seed for a Chestburster attack, birthing a Xenomorph, Miles’ symbiote suit prevents this process and makes him an all-new hero.
With his stunning new costume and possibly some special symbiote and Xenomorph powers built in, the grown-up version of Miles in the Aliens vs. Avengers universe easily becomes one of the most deadly and impressive versions of a Spider-Hero thus far. Along with senior versions of the Hulk, Captain Marvel, and a son of Black Panther and Storm, Miles’ Spider-Man becomes one of the most formidable forces in his world. Miles is also receiving super-upgrades left and right across the multiverse, with the main version of the hero in Earth-616 gaining vampire powers and a flashy new vibranium suit.
Symbiotes Could Be the Key to Beating the Terrifying Xenomorphs
During Spider-Man’s shockingly non-lethal encounter with the Facehugger, it’s quickly determined that the symbiote could be a key to stopping the Xenomorphs from completely taking over the universe. After the symbiote successfully takes over the Facehugger, this universe’s version of the Alien franchise’s Peter Weyland remarks that the parasites counteract each other, as the symbiotes can seemingly overpower the Xenomorph. What this means for the future of the miniseries, and if another version of Venom or other symbiotes could show up, still remains to be seen, but Miles has a serious advantage for survival in the crossover.
With the crossover's alternate version of Earth almost totally collapsing in the face of the Xenomorph threat, the powerful revamped version of Spider-Man is the hope that the planet needs. In just the first issue, some shocking developments, world-building, and the perfectly cold and sinister tone make this a must-read for fans of either Marvel or the sci-fi horror franchise. Miles Morales’ creepy yet extremely cool upgrade is the perfect development for the character and his crumbling world as the monsters of Alien collide with the lore of Spider-Man.
Aliens vs. Avengers #1 is out now from Marvel Comics.
