In a recent Instagram post, pro cosplayer Lorenzo Dozier (@teamawesome418) collaborated with @OVER30COSPLAYofficial to create this incredible Spider-Man Venomized cosplay crossover. This cosplay features a custom Miles Morales Venom suit with a wicked symbiotic grin and a black, white, and red color scheme. The final edit has Lorenzo posing on a street as a symbiote-infected Miles combines his electric Venom strike with the giant black tendrils of Venom.
This presents an alternate reality where Miles uses his unique gifts and forms a bond with Venom to protect the streets of New York by any means necessary. But this isn’t Miles’ first encounter with a symbiote.

In the Spider-Man/Venom Instagram post, the creators added an interesting caption with the photos, “Face your inner demons. Own your responsibility.”
The word responsibility is etched into every Spider-person who takes the mantle, as they work to protect others while owning their mistakes. Marvel's symbiotes are a constant reminder of every human’s dark side lurking within. They twist and warp their host's minds to make them forget their responsibilities as heroes. Still, Spider-Man’s resolve should be much stronger than that – yet this cosplay offers a version of Miles that has given in to the Venom symbiote. Just as in the comics, Miles once succumbed to another symbiote, one that forced him to neglect his responsibilities as a hero.
This cosplay echoes the first time Miles incurred the wrath of the Symbiotes. The evil symbiote, Carnage, and his host Cletus Kasady sought to make Miles pay for ruining their plans for Scorpion’s codex. In 2019’s Absolute Carnage #2 – by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman – Miles was possessed by a piece of Carnage and became a brand-new symbiote entirely. Growing six arms and possessing unbelievable symbiote strength, Miles completely overpowered Venom, before getting knocked out by Carnage. Though he was not subject to the symbiote for long, Carnage saw much potential for Miles as a new and controllable host.

- HISTORY
- The Venom symbiote is an alien organism that first bonded with Peter Parker (Spider-Man) during the "Secret Wars" storyline. After Parker rejected the symbiote, it found a new host in Eddie Brock, a disgraced journalist. The symbiote and Brock bonded over their mutual hatred for Spider-Man, becoming the anti-hero known as Venom. Over time, Venom has evolved from a villain to an anti-hero, often fighting alongside other heroes to protect innocents, though his methods remain brutal.
Venom is a symbiotic alien entity bonded with various human hosts, notably Eddie Brock and later Flash Thompson. It grants superhuman strength, agility, and a shape-shifting black costume. Initially a Spider-Man villain due to its origins, Venom evolved into an antihero, battling both villains and his own dark impulses. The character embodies themes of duality and redemption within the Marvel Universe.
A Venomized Spider-Man with all of Miles’ extra abilities sounds like a dangerous secret weapon. That said, there is a heavy price to pay for bonding with a symbiote.
Miles Could Be Even Stronger Than Venom With His Own Symbiote
A Miles/Venom Team-Up Feels Inevitable
This Carnage symbiote offshoot was much too powerful for Miles to control, and he had to force it off himself using his electric Venom strike, before he killed his allies. This was very useful, since symbiotes are weak to electricity. However, if Miles learned to control the Carnage symbiote and combine his abilities as Spider-Man, he could truly level up his superhero persona. Miles can turn invisible and has a special Venom strike that can charge or paralyze any person or alien substance. Given the opportunity, the Ultimate Spider-Man could become Marvel's Ultimate Symbiote.
A Venomized Spider-Man with all of Miles’ extra abilities sounds like a dangerous secret weapon. That said, there is a heavy price to pay for bonding with a symbiote, especially one as powerful as Carnage. Though it hasn’t happened yet, if Miles gets some training from Eddie Brock and a few other heroic hosts, he could be even stronger than Venom. With the Carnage symbiote, Miles’ bloodlust and violence streak was amplified and had serious consequences. Gowever, with more time and patience, Spider-Man Miles Morales could be an even better Venom host than Peter Parker and Eddie Brock.
