A Minecraft enthusiasts and builders on Reddit, where it quickly amassed a lot of attention. Due to the level of detail from the player, the posted image drew responses ranging from praise to wary skepticism.

Minecraft player Sashimi228's recreation of The End in a Survival server has impressed the game's subreddit, receiving over 11,000 upvotes as well as hundreds of comments thanks to the level of detail the player put into their homage to the dimension. Aptly called a "mega project," Sashimi228 has been able to duplicate the appearance of The End's central island, with end spikes placed on top. End crystals are also included, placed atop each end spike. Finally, the spikes surround an exit portal, ready to return players to the Overworld.

Not only is the Minecraft player's creation a free build, but it is also filled inside and doesn't use any mods or tools like WorldEdit. Sashimi228 could have gone with a hollow version for an easier build, but instead wanted to make their End build more authentic. Similar to broken glass in Minecraft Survival mode, Bedrock and End Portal frames are normally difficult to create without the help of a plugin or cheat. To replicate the End island's look, the player went with gray wool and black concrete as substitutes.
Although the central island replica is missing some key features, such as Enderlings roaming about or an Ender Dragon soaring high above, the build is still startlingly impressive. Those looking to create a similar The End recreation will have a long task ahead, with highly detailed builds such as this one requiring patience and ingenuity to get the job done. Sashimi228's dedication to building The End is another example of how Minecraft inspires creative builds from its players.
