Resources are used constantly in Minecraft Legends to build structures or obtain upgrades, with the most consistent source of these items coming from Villager Chest locations found in the Overworld. Almost acting as free rewards players can pick up from time to time, these chests are excellent sources of materials. In addition, players have a far better chance of making walls and recruiting different mobs by using the gifts obtained from the Villager Chests.
Every Villager Chest appears in the same location, near the Fountain in the center of every Village. These typically appear once players liberate a Village from Piglin control, but some places simply welcome them with open arms. Resources are then dropped into the Villager Chest for players to collect whenever they want and refill with items again occasionally.
How To Identify Each Chest's Resources
While Allays still collect resources found across the map for players while they explore, the Villager Chests always provide Wood, Stone, and Prismarine as long as the Village's Fountain isn't destroyed. However, each Village has a chance to provide a special type of item in addition to the basic materials already supplied. By opening the World Map and hovering over different Villages, players can see which unique resource each one harvests.
Once players want to collect their resources, they must simply press the Interact button next to a Villager Chest to open it. Any items not transferred to a player's Inventory will stay in that Villager Chest. Although players will want to take as much Diamond, Redstone, or Coal as they can from certain chests, they may not have the room to carry everything without increasing their Inventory space in Minecraft Legends.
How To Upgrade Villager Chests
The "Improvement: Shared Village Chests" upgrade allows players to collect resources from every Village Chest at the same time. Linking every Village Chest together, this improvement saves players time by having all their rewards available from any Village. This way, players don't need to travel across the whole map just to collect some Redstone from a far-off town, instead being able to grab it from any location.
Despite this upgrade, players still need to be mindful of keeping a Village's Fountain safe. The resources from a Villager Chest do not link to others if the Fountain falls, so players have more than enough reason to visit other civilizations on the map. Thankfully, getting more resources through Villager Chests in Minecraft Legends makes it far easier to build ways to defend these locations through this upgrade.
