That said, the Miss Fisher’s Modern Mysteries cast is definitely interested in making a follow-up. In an interview with Den Of Geek, Essie Davis suggested she was open to returning for a Miss Fisher And The Crypt Of Tears sequel but noted that a new entry was dependent on the success of the first movie.

While a Miss Fisher And The Crypt Of Tears sequel isn’t currently in the works there are other ways to get a similar Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries went into production in 2018 and focuses on Phryne Fisher’s niece Peregrine Fisher, who follows in her aunt’s footsteps and becomes a P.I. in 1960s Melbourne. The spinoff aired its first season in 2019 and its second season is set to air sometime in 2021.
