New Brandon Sanderson news has confirmed the timeline for the Cosmere fantasy universe since the first Mistborn book was released in 2006. The Stormlight Archive just saw the final book of its first arc released, featuring more connectivity to the other Cosmere titles than ever, and fans can hopefully expect more of the same as the long-awaited Ghostbloods trilogy takes Sanderson's world further into the future.
The first series of Mistborn books saw the build-up to a world-changing event called the Catacendre, with the subsequent four Mistborn volumes occurring roughly 340 years later. In the author's annual movie adaptation, other Cosmere titles, and non-Cosmere projects he's working on. Readers may be waiting until roughly December 2028 for the next Mistborn book, but it seems like it will be worth the wait.

Brandon Sanderson Has Confirmed The Ghostbloods Timeline
According to the State of Sanderson announcements, the new "series will mark the return of some familiar (somewhat spike-filled) characters from Era One." He indicates that the saga will follow the Ghostbloods' activities on Scadrial about fifty years after era 2, as opposed to the originally announced 70-80 years. The "spike-filled characters" he's referring to are Kelsier and Marsh, both of whom are still alive from era 1 and have appeared briefly in era 2 as well as other Cosmere books.

Mistborn Eras 2 & 3 Will Be Way More In-Tact Than The First Time-Jump
If era 3 is 50 years later, roughly 400 years will have ed since the events of The Hero of Ages. In of technology and world-building elements on Scadrial, Ghostbloods should have far more in common with era 2 than the previous two eras had with each other. The most significant changes Sanderson teased were the development of early computers, and the end of era 2 seemed to be setting up a Cold War plotline between Northern and Southern Scadrial.

There are many differences between Mistborn and Game of Thrones, but one could be the key to adapting Brandon Sanderson's fantasy series.
In of character returns, the closer distance means some characters from Mistborn era 2 could still have a very prevalent effect on society. Marasi could still be alive, though roughly in her 80s, and Wax and Wayne would both be renowned historical figures. Unlike how "The Ascendant Warrior" was used to describe Vin ing into legend, these characters will still be ed and celebrated for their legacies.
