Warning: Major spoilers for episode 3 of MobLand ahead

Episode 3 of the Paramount+ crime drama episode 2 of MobLand saw the rivalry between the families edge closer towards violence, episode 3 wasted no time in proving just how deadly a battle between the two factions would get. The episode begins with Kevin's house getting blown up, although none of the of his family were there at the time. It was the opening salvo in what could be an all-out war if Tommy Stevenson didn't resurface.

Richie Stevenson did eventually find out his son's fate, thanks to a phone call from Harry (made because Harry's own family was on the line if Tommy never turned up). Once they learned about Tommy's death, Maeve and Conrad already began to plot out what a war with the Stevensons would look like, with Maeve taking a brutal stance on how best to end things quickly and efficiently. Perhaps most importantly, episode 3 of MobLand made it abundantly clear that there is a rat somewhere within the Harrigans' inner circle.

Only the Harrigans and their trusted lawyer, O'Hara, were present for Archie's murder, and it was Harry and his associates who got rid of the body by placing it in another person's coffin just before it was buried. That whittles down the number of people who have knowledge not only of Archie's death, but how his body was disposed of. It's becoming increasingly clear that someone in the Harrigans' inner circle is working to undermine the family's enterprise, and frankly several of the major characters have good reasons to do so.

The eldest Harrigan son, Brendan, is a failure in the eyes of his father, and could be working against them as vengeance. Seraphina is not a full-blooded Harrigan, and her hatred for Maeve (who loathes her very existence) could be enough to undermine her love for her father. Both Bella Harrigan and Harry are aware that the noose is tightening around the Harrigan's enterprise, and could be seeking their own personal ways out. It's not clear yet who made the anonymous phone call, but it's definitely someone important.

Who Actually Killed Tommy Stevenson

It Was Always The Most Obvious Choice

Anson Boon as Eddie Harrigan in MobLand

After a savage beating, Harry finally got the real story out of Valjon about how Tommy Stevenson died, as Valjon was responsible for butchering his body. According to Valjon, who has every reason in the world to tell the truth, Eddie Harrigan paid him $10,000 to "take care of" Tommy Stevenson, and he picked the boys up after they escaped the bouncers. He left them at the club, and when he returned Tommy was dead thanks to 50-60 stab wounds. It was in fact Eddie who killed Tommy, much to Maeve's approval and delight.

How Harry Stalled The Gang War (For Now)

Harry Bought The Harrigans Some Time

With Richie blowing up Kevin's house and sending two ittedly lackluster masked assassins to take out Harry and his family, the clock had clearly expired on Richie's patience. Fortunately, Harry delivered Tommy to his father Richie just as he promised he would, albeit in pieces in a large trunk. On top of that, he managed to deliver the man who killed Tommy, Valjon, further satiating Richie's desire for vengeance while keeping the Harrigans out of his crosshairs. That truce could be very temporary though.

Valjon told Richie a false version of how Tommy died, claiming that he himself killed the young man as part of a kidnapping gone wrong. He only told this version of the events because Kevin and Harry made it clear to him that they would kill his children if he did not play along. Everyone, including Valjon, knew that a vengeful Richie would come after his kids anyway after finding out that Valjon had killed his son, so Kevin and Harry's promise to protect his children was enough to drive Valjon to sacrifice his own life to protect the Harrigans.

What Bella Harrigan Is Plotting With Antoine

Her Ultimate Intentions Aren't Yet Clear

Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan in MobLand

Bella Harrigan remains one of the more enigmatic characters on the show, as through three episodes her true motivations and plans remain mysterious. She meets with her father, who has deep connections within the government and other areas of influence, and Antoine, a Frenchman who is willing to pay for the kind of access (specifically to the Prime Minister) that Bella's father can offer. The meeting was some sort of trap, as Antoine filmed the entire interaction as proof of her father's illicit dealings, for an as-yet unknown reason.

Despite being a member of MobLand's central family, Kevin Harrigan's wife Bella appears to have her own schemes going on behind their backs.

Bella herself seems to have entangled herself in a dangerous situation, as Harry notes when they meet up later for her confession about the encounter. As Harry puts it, "This is the kind of danger the family will not like." It seems that Bella has gotten mixed up in something far more significant than gun-running or the London drug trade, and that Harry is aware of what she's planning and how it can go wrong. He promises to take care of Antoine and the video, which the Frenchman is holding over Bella's head to ensure her cooperation.

Who Harry Saw In The Nursing Home

It Appeared To Be A Ghost From His Past

Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza looking annoyed in MobLand

While tending to his cleaner Maria's issue of getting her mother into a nursing home by using his influence to ensure her a spot, Harry happens to spy an old man in another room. He then has brief flashbacks to his time in some sort of juvenile detention facility, during which the old man (who was a guard at the time) savagely beat him. It's clear this man had a profound impact on Harry, who looked at him with murderous intent in the nursing home. It seems certain this man will be a gateway into MobLand exploring Harry's violent past.
