Guy Ritchie's new crime drama series Ritchie's crisp story-telling and next-level action to tell the story of the Harrigans' struggle to not only expand and profit from their criminal empire, but to survive the wrath of all those they cross. Their enterprise is founded upon the common Mafia-esque principles of loyalty, family, and ruthlessness in business and self-defense.

The Harrigan family is constructed in fairly typical fashion, with a patriarch and matriarch from which all decisions flow from. The upper Harrigan hierarchy is somewhat unsettled, as the final decision-making power seems to fluctuate between Conrad (Brosnan) and Maeve (Mirren) Harrigan from minute to minute. Each member of the family has their own ambitions and goals, but they all work towards the ultimate goal of keeping and expanding the Harrigan empire's influence over the city and people of London, and staying safe from the many enemies they create.

Conrad Harrigan

The Patriarch Of The London-Based Harrigan Family

Conrad Harrigan is the patriarch and ultimate authority figure for the Harrigan family. His three children answer directly to him in all business matters, and he serves as the mastermind behind virtually all the Harrigan crime organization's significant moves. He does seem to be indecisive and erratic at times, and in those moments he leans on his wife Maeve to act as a steadying presence. He is the father to Kevin, Brendan, and Seraphina Harrigan, and the grandfather of Eddie Harrigan.

Conrad's level of self-control seems to be hit-or-miss depending on the situation, as he can be cold and calculating or excitable and violent depending on the situation. As he is the unquestioned leader of the family (as far as his children know), that unpredictability proves to be a source of stress and antagonization at times, and creates additional tension across the family.

Maeve Harrigan

The Matriarch Of The Harrigan Family And Conrad's Wife

Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren) holding a glass martini in MobLand

Maeve Harrigan is the matriarch of the Harrigan family, and the wife of Conrad. She has more influence over the family than many seem to realize, as behind closed doors she pulls Conrad's strings in major business maneuvers. She is often seen with a drink in her hand, yet she seems to be the person with the most confidence and authority in any room she's in. Maeve is the mother of at least Kevin and Brendan Harrigan, and therefore the grandmother of Eddie Harrigan.

However, she refers to Conrad's daughter Seraphina as a "mistake", and with her Asian ethnicity it's clear that she is from another relationship at some point in Conrad's life, illicit or otherwise. The sheer animosity she directs at Seraphina makes it fairly clear that there is more at play than a simple child from another marriage.

Kevin Harrigan

Conrad's Son And Eddie's Father

Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza and Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan in MobLand

The younger of Conrad and Maeve's two sons, Kevin Harrigan is the father of Eddie Harrigan, husband to Bella Harrigan, brother to Brendan Harrigan and half-brother to Seraphina Harrigan. While Kevin is loyal to his family and benefits from its criminal enterprise, he does not necessarily carry a vicious, ruthless streak like his parents or their hired fixer, Harry Da Souza. He is a steadier individual than his more erratic father and wild, rebellious son.

Bella Harrigan

Kevin's Wife And Eddie's Mother

Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan in MobLand

Bella Harrigan is the wife of Kevin and mother of Eddie, making her Conrad and Maeve's daughter-in-law. She is not as active in the day-to-day criminal enterprise of the Harrigan family, but she is an important member of the family nonetheless, thanks to her relative level-headedness.

Eddie Harrigan

Kevin And Bella's Volatile Son

Anson Boon as Eddie Harrigan in MobLand

Eddie Harrigan is the son of Kevin and Bella Harrigan, and the grandson of Conrad and Maeve. The cocaine-snorting wildcard acts as if he's invincible thanks to a lifetime of privilege and lack of consequences thanks to the work of his family's fixer, Harry Da Souza, and lawyer O'Hara. In MobLand's first episode, Eddie lies directly to Harry as he tries to fix a problem that Eddie himself created, so it's clear that there's a measure of selfishness at Eddie's core, in addition to his extreme arrogance.

Seraphina Harrigan

Conrad's Loyal Daughter

Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina Harrigan looking shocked in MobLand

Seraphina is the loyal daughter of Conrad Harrigan, but she is not the daughter of Maeve Harrigan. When she first arrives at the family house at the end of episode 1 of MobLand, Maeve treats her with outright contempt, indicating that she resents her presence. This seems like an indication that she was born from an illicit affair, as she appears younger than both Kevin and Brendan; logic would dictate that she was born outside of Conrad and Maeve's marriage if she came after their legitimate sons.

Brendan Harrigan

Conrad And Maeve's Oldest Son

Daniel Betts as Brendan Harrigan in MobLand

Brendan Harrigan is the oldest son of Conrad and Maeve, making him the brother of Kevin and half-brother of Seraphina. While Brendan is not as significant a player in the family business, as the oldest child of Conrad and Maeve, it stands to reason that he would be next in line to oversee the family should something happen to his parents.

Harry Da Souza

The Harrigan Family's Loyal Fixer

While Harry Da Souza is not a Harrigan by blood, he is just as close to Conrad (if not closer) than his own sons. Played by Tom Hardy in a reunion with Guy Ritchie, Harry acts as the family's "fixer", in that he solves any and all problems that arise for all of the family, personal or professional. He acts as the family's protector, and thanks to an elaborate web of connections that he's woven through the infrastructure of London, Harry is able to remedy most situations with a few phone calls and some light detective work.

MobLand originally began as a spinoff of the Showtime series Ray Donovan; the title character played by Liev Schreiber is a fixer just as Harry Da Souza is, and the echoes of the beloved Showtime crime drama are obvious in MobLand.

More importantly, Harry acts as the right hand of Conrad, and executes his will in the Harrigans' criminal enterprise. When a sitdown is required with Richie Stevenson, for example, Harry is the one that Conrad sends. He may not be a Harrigan, but Harry feels like the son that Conrad always wanted, as he is far more ruthless and intelligent than either of his actual sons. That could yield some conflict between Harry and Kevin in the future, despite Harry working just as hard to protect Kevin and his family as he does Conrad and Maeve.
