Tom Hardy’s Harry Da Souza is the runaway fan-favorite character in after episode 8 has me worried about what Harry’s future holds. As the fixer for the Harrigans, Harry has engaged in more violence than any character in the show, but he’s done it to keep himself and the Harrigan family safe, making him the closest thing to a hero the dark and gritty crime drama has. His elite skills as a tactician along with his never-ending Rolodex of connections and favors make him perhaps the most dangerous individual on either side of the Harrigan/Stevenson war.
However, with just two episodes left in what is hopefully the first of several seasons of MobLand, Harry is in such a precarious position that even his bottomless bag of tricks might not be enough to see him through it. further endangering his wife and daughter. His job has always been dangerous, but with the escalating gang war reaching a fever pitch, Harry might be in legitimate trouble sooner rather than later.
Who Is Kevin's "Other Brother" In MobLand? There's One Big Theory That Seems Likely Now
Maeve mentioning Kevin's "other brother" in episode 8 of MobLand sent him into a rage, inviting questions about the identity of another Harrigan son.
Tom Hardy’s Harry Is In His Toughest Position Yet In MobLand
His Job Was Already Dangerous, But Now He’s Essentially Stuck
It’s pretty clear that Harry knows Conrad’s time is essentially up as the head of the Harrigan crime empire. While he may have been lying to Freddie before killing him just to encourage his trust, the notion that he and Kevin would seek to take over from Conrad and Maeve isn’t far-fetched at all, as Conrad’s instability is the worst-kept secret in London. However, there is essentially no escape hatch for Harry at the moment, especially with both his wife and daughter under Conrad’s roof under constant watch from the (justifiably) paranoid crime boss and his henchman, Paul.
Even without factoring in Jan and Gina’s safety, Harry can’t leave because he himself would immediately become a target for Conrad. A vengeful Conrad “100 Guns” Harrigan would most certainly unleash his wrath upon Harry the second he discovered any proof of his betrayal, and given his current level of volatility, he might do that even without concrete proof. Harry knows he’s essentially doomed as a member of the Harrigans’ crumbling inner circle, but he’s equally doomed if he attempts to break out of it.
Harry’s Favors To Kat May Shape His Future - And That Of MobLand
Based On Context, Owing Kat McAllister Is A Terrible Position To Be In
Perhaps more important than his precarious position within the Harrigan organization is Harry’s outstanding debt to the mysterious Kat McAllister. Janet McTeer’s new character proved just how powerful she is by calling off Seraphina’s murder at the hands of Jaime Lopez’s cartel while simultaneously ending the cartel’s relationship with Richie Stevenson. A person who can make that much happen with just a single phone call is not to be trifled with, but the fact that the Harrigans are familiar with Kat and have been blunt about how dangerous it is to owe her makes the notion even more terrifying.

Kevin in particular seems distraught about Harry being in Kat’s debt, noting that it is “how we all get ****ed.” Kat’s influence seems to go well beyond that of a simple crime organization like the Mexican cartel or London gangs, and popular theories indicate she could even be some sort of special operative for the CIA or another shadowy international agency. Kat calling in a favor is all but guaranteed to turn dangerous for Harry, and he owes her two. The nature of those favors feels like they could reshape the direction of Harry’s character, and that of MobLand in general.
