The show is a mixed package and has everything — comedy, romance, and thrill. Most of all, it's the excitement of seeing a masterful "Professor plan" play itself out. Netflix's Money Heist is full of twists, turns, and surprises, which means there are many scenes that fans didn't see coming. So, without further ado, let's take a look at some of the best of them.

Bella Ciao

While robbing The Royal Mint of Spain, Moscow is digging a hole inside one of the vaults as part of the Professor's escape plan. And when he finds a breakthrough doing that, he is elated and starts singing the song "Bella Ciao."

Soon enough, the whole gang ed him, singing and dancing to the beat. Who knew this scene was going to make the song Bella Ciao a worldwide hit.

Nairobi Shot

The Professor's gang is in the Bank of Spain and Alicia Sierra - the master interrogator - decides to play some mind games with Nairobi. She exploits the fact that Nairobi has a son, whom she would do anything to meet.

So, Sierra tells Nairobi that she has her son with her. Nairobi is told to come close to a window and see her son for herself. But when she does so, a sniper shoots her. Luckily for the gang, that doesn't turn out to be the kill shot.

Berlin's Sacrifice

Berlin, throughout the gang's journey in The Royal Mint of Spain, comes across as an egocentric psychopath who craves power. But there is a scene where one forgets all about his misdeeds.

That's in the second season when the team is all but ready to escape through the tunnel they dug. Berlin stays behind and lets all other of the gang escape, while he holds off the cops. He is then shot multiple times in the chest, which surely kills him. If you followed his character closely in season 1, you might have not expected someone like Berlin to take one for the team.

Arturo Is Turned Into A Suicide Bomber

During the heist of The Royal Mint of Spain, one of the hostages, somehow, manages to hit Oslo over the head with a crowbar which leaves him braindead. In an act of mercy, Helsinki kills his dear partner.

This whole scenario pisses off Berlin and in a bid to teach the hostages a lesson, he attaches a bomb to the body of Arturo. Effectively, he leaves the lives of the hostages in Arturo's hand and one wrong move on his part could blow all of them up. What a unique way to punish someone, isn't it?

Julia's Introduction

In the recently concluded season 4, the show introduced the fans to a new member in the gang - Julia or Manila. In a flashback scene, Moscow and Denver request Professor to bring Julia into the mix as she is related to them and then, Berlin suggests that someone like her could be used to infiltrate the hostages.

In the Bank of Spain, Manila sits with the hostages but when Arturo tries to be over-smart, she blows her cover and in the process, she tells every hostage that she is, in fact, a part of the team.

Tokyo Thrown Out

In the midst of a tense situation, Tokyo, as the hothead she is, began questioning the leadership of Berlin and soon, she tried to start a mutiny against him. She wanted to take over the command of the crew but Berlin wasn't having any of it.

So, in a bid to teach her lesson, he went too far and threw Tokyo out of The Royal Mint of Spain. Soon, the police pounced on her and the Professor had a new problem to deal with.

Palermo Severely Injured

As soon as the gang enters The Bank of Spain, things get a little out of hand. Palermo, the new leader, gets severely injured, almost blinded, by broken glass. This happened in just the second episode of season three, which clearly suggested that this heist is going to take its toll on the gang.

Nairobi helps Palermo get back to his feet. And that's important for the Professor's team as only Palermo knows the plan inside out. Thankfully the damage isn't a lasting one as Palermo heals and regains his lost eyesight.

Denver Saves Monica

During the early stages of The Royal Mint of Spain heist, Berlin catches Monica with a cell phone and like a man that he is, he thinks that's a killable offense. But, instead of him doing the killing, he orders Denver to do it.

Denver is still very immature and he takes Monica to the washroom, before contemplating what he should do with her. He proceeds to shoot Monica in the leg, with her consent, of course, and then, takes her to a vault. He takes care of her and there, they fall in love. Talk about bumping into each other.

Raquel Changes Sides

Professor taught his team a set of rules and one of them was not developing emotional attachments with anyone during the heist. But, he himself broke that code by falling in love with the lead officer investigating the heist - Raquel Murillo.

Raquel figures out that the Professor is, indeed, the mastermind behind the heist and she follows him to the team's escaping place. But the Professor sees her coming and ties her up. Then, he explains to Raquel how he didn't intend to fall for her and after the dust settled, they kissed each other. That was the moment when a cop turned into a criminal, now known as Lisbon.

Nairobi Killed

One of the most heartbreaking scenes in Money Heist is the death of a very popular character Nairobi. In the fourth season, she recovers from her bullet wound only to be taken hostage by Gandia.

He uses Nairobi as a bargaining chip to get away from a dire situation. When he succeeds, he shoots Nairobi straight in the head in front of all of the gang, leaving everyone distraught. After that, in one of the best moments of the season, Nairobi's body is brought out of the Bank of Spain, with everyone showing their respect.
