High-Quality pelts are an item that can be hard to obtain in Monster Hunter Rise because there are so few ways to acquire the material. Since High-Quality pelt is used in quite a few different crafting recipes and upgrades, players will need to be able to consistently find this material in Monster Hunter Rise. Similar to some of the resources in Monster Hunter Rise, High-Quality pelt has a six-star rarity which means it has limited sources as well as a low chance of being found from its source.
Before players can obtain High-Quality pelts, they'll need to have access to the High-Rank expeditions and quests in Monster Hunter Rise. Like most rare resources Monster Hunter Rise, High-Quality pelt is a crafting material that can only be found during High-Rank activities. Fortunately, as players attempt to track down High-Quality pelts, they'll be able to stack up to 99 individual pelts in a single inventory slot.
High-Quality pelt can only be found in the Shrine Ruins and Frost Island locations in Monster Hunter Rise, and only when harvested from Kelbi and Anteka. Kelbi and Anteka are two different types of small monsters that resemble deer. Kelbi are native to the Shrine Ruins and Anteka are native to Frost Island. When their parts are harvested, both monsters have a chance to drop High-Quality pelts so players can craft new or better weapons in Monster Hunter Rise. Kelbi, however, are the better option to farm because they have a 45% chance of dropping High-Quality pelts, whereas Anteka only have an 18% chance.
Monster Hunter Rise: How To Farm High-Quality Pelts
Both Kelbi and Anteka are the types of small monsters seen traveling in groups in Monster Hunter Rise. Although their herd numbers are never large, there are guaranteed to be at least two of each species in their respective areas. To farm for more High-Quality pelts, all hunters need to do is kill them and carve their parts like they would a large monster during a normal quest in Monster Hunter Rise.
When hunting Kelbi and Anteka, both types of monsters will respawn every few minutes in Monster Hunter Rise. While waiting for each monster to respawn, it's a good idea to look for other resources as well, like finding a Cohoot nest for a chance to find a Golden Egg in Monster Hunter Rise. To find Kelbi in the Shrine Ruins, players should travel between areas 13 and 11. Anteka can be found through a similar method in the Frost Islands between areas 1 and 6.
Monster Hunter Rise is available on Nintendo Switch and PC.
