Honey is an invaluable resource in some of Wilds' toughest monsters.
Although you may occasionally get them as part of your supply stash, crafting is the only reliable way to get Mega Potions in Monster Hunter Wilds; you can't buy them from the Provisions Stockpile. (You can access hunt supplies via your Seikret; press left on the D-Pad to open the inventory.) But you may want an extra supply of Mega Potions during the hardest hunts, and you may want to save your hard-earned cash to spend on weapons and armor. If that sounds like you, here's how you can farm honey quickly in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Best Place To Farm Honey In Monster Hunter Wilds
Farming Honey In The Windswept Plains
Thankfully, the best place to farm Honey in Monster Hunter Wilds is within the Windswept Plains, the first map players unlock as part of the campaign (which should be very familiar to players from the open beta). During the season of Plenty, there are three areas of this map where Honey is especially plentiful: one near area 1, one near area 8, and one near area 13, all pictured above.

Monster Hunter Wilds Review: Heading In A Bold New Direction, With One Or Two Missteps
Monster Hunter Wilds is a lushly beautiful and ceaselessly thrilling entry in the series, but its performance and on-rails story can be distracting.
Personally, I recommend starting in the base camp, close to area 1. Begin by exiting the hub area and heading south to the beehives near area 1. Head east to the riverside hives in area 8, and finally, go way down south to the oasis in area 13. You can simply set each location as a waypoint, and then use your Seikret to autorun from one to the other.
Using the Filter Icons setting on your map (press right on the D-Pad) will allow you to quickly scroll through all the available resources in an area.
Once I figured out these locations, it took me about four minutes each time I wanted to complete a "honey run." Honey respawns every 15 minutes, though, so you'll have to wait a bit after each farming session. You have plenty of time to take on a hunt - or visit another area for even more honey farming - in between each run.
Do note, however, that Honey is only so prevalent in these areas during the season of Plenty. This changes during pivotal story moments, and then at random once you've completed the main campaign. While Honey will still spawn in more or less the same places even during the season of Fallow, you'll want to time your honey runs to coincide with Plenty to get the most payoff. You can always view the name of the current season in the upper-left corner of your map.
Other Ways To Get Honey In Monster Hunter Wilds
Farming In The Scarlet Forest
As an alternative, or while you're waiting for Honey to respawn in the Plains, you can do a little bit of Honey farming in the Scarlet Forest as well. It's nowhere near as plentiful, though, and the beehives tend to be a lot more spread out; you'll have to run around the entire map to get an equivalent amount of Honey, which means you'll have to spend a lot longer on each run.

Does Monster Hunter Wilds Have Crossplay?
Monster Hunter Wilds is a new entry in the franchise and, considering the series has never had crossplay, doubts about it having the feature arose.
There is a decent concentration of Honey focused around area 16 in the Scarlet Forest, but other than that, stacks are spread out. Your best bet is to select each one using Filter Icons, hop on your Seikret, ride over, and repeat until you've grabbed all the Honey on the map.
Is There Honey In Other Regions?
While there is Honey in almost every region of Monster Hunter Wilds, it's most plentiful in the Plains and the Forest. It only makes sense; the ample foliage and water in these regions give bees the nutrients they need to survive, whereas the more hostile landscape found in places like the Oilwell Basin isn't exactly hospitable to insect life. You may find the occasional hive there, but it's not a reliable location for farming.
Other maps are simply too small to contain beehives. Wyveria and the Wounded Hollow, for instance, don't have any Honey because their sole purpose is to serve as arenas for Large Monster hunting - there's no Honey there because these locations aren't designed for resource gathering.
Still, it's relatively easy to gather a lot of Honey quickly if you know where to look. And, as long as you're regularly looking around, even as you travel through less Honey-dense areas, you'll surely find more than enough to carry you through Monster Hunter Wilds.
