To celebrate the release of the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds, the augmented reality mobile title Monster Hunter Now is holding a collaboration event, with the second phase starting soon. Wilds is the highly anticipated continuation from Capcom of the popular monster-hunting franchise, featuring engaging combat and larger-than-life enemies to take down.

In celebration of the release of Wilds on February 28, Monster Hunter Now is holding a collaboration event that brings crossover equipment, weapons, and more from Wilds into Now. The event will also reward players in Monster Hunter Wilds for completing certain objectives for a limited time. The collaboration "was a long time in the making," said Niantic Executive Producer Carl Damerow said in a press event. Phase one of the event is currently in progress, and a second phase launches on February 28, alongside the release of Wilds.

The mobile game from Niantic, Monster Hunter Now takes all the elements that fans love from the franchise and adds Pokémon GO-esque elements by bringing the franchise's monsters into the real world. Players must work together to complete missions, fell monsters, and level up their hunters as they travel through both the virtual and physical world. The mobile Monster Hunter game will now also include items and an iconic monster from the main series game, Monster Hunter Wilds.

Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Had Almost 500,000 People. Is it Capcom's Biggest Game Ever?

Monster Hunter Wilds is putting up some astounding numbers on Steam, and could already be Capcom's biggest game to date.

When Phase 2 kicks off, the iconic Wilds Chatacabra monster will begin appearing, and all Now players will receive the 12 Hope weapons from Wilds. "We are going to give everyone 12 tickets to just forge these straight away," said Damerow, ensuring that all players can begin using the weapons right away without needing to do anything or collect any materials to forge them.

The leveling of Hope weapons will also be boosted for the duration of the event. Additionally, every Monday for a month, Monster Hunter Now will give away more free materials and items to help new and old players move through upgrading these new weapons quickly so they can start using them as soon as possible.

Two new layered armors will also arrive in the game on February 28. These include the Hope armor style, inspired by the outfits in Monster Hunter Wilds, and a hilarious take on the Seikret mount. As Now has no mount system, the team instead went for a silly Halloween-store-style blow-up costume so Monster Hunter Now hunters can adventure with a slightly sillier version of the new Wilds mount.
