The MCU’s movie timeline, many heroes and villains have been introduced into the franchise. Adapted from the pages of Marvel Comics to the big and small screens alike, the MCU has grown to become one of the most consistently successful franchises in entertainment history. Though power levels among them vary wildly, the franchise still hosts several heavy-hitters.

The movies and TV shows of the MCU are populated by powerful figures, some of which did not make their debuts until after the franchise-shattering events of Avengers: Endgame. Many impressively capable figures played a part in the Infinity Saga, but the Multiverse Saga has also introduced a number of characters possessing extraordinary abilities. With that in mind, here are 10 of the most powerful MCU characters introduced since Avengers: Endgame.

10 Ms Marvel Combines Cosmic Power With Mutant Genes

MCU Debut: Ms. Marvel (2022)

First appearing in her own show in 2022 before appearing as part of the ensemble that led The Marvels’ cast, Ms. Marvel is a deceptively powerful figure. Introduced as a young fan of the Avengers, Kamala Khan unlocks her abilities after putting on a bangle imbued with cosmic energy. However, later MCU developments reveal that Ms. Marvel is actually a far more powerful figure than she initially appeared to be.

Over the course of her eponymous show, Ms. Marvel learns that her grandmother was part of an inter-dimensional group of beings, and that she possessed latent cosmic powers as a result. Though the bangle unlocked these powers, it was also later revealed that Kamala possessed the mutant gene, potentially connecting her to the X-Men. The Marvels’ story established the devastating potential of Ms. Marvel’s bangles, subtly confirming her as one of the MCU’s most powerful young heroes.

9 Shang-Chi Inherited Massively Powerful Artifacts

MCU Debut: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)

Making his debut in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the titular hero was one of the first major figures introduced after the events of Avengers: Endgame. As a master of martial arts, Shang-Chi proved himself a formidable combatant, but his potential power levels rose significantly after the conclusion of his first MCU outing. As such, he stands out as a powerful addition to the ranks of the MCU’s heroes in the Multiverse Saga.

The ending of Shang-Chi sees the hero overcome his father, the Mandarin, and inherit the Ten Rings. The weaponized rings wielded by the Mandarin are some of the MCU’s most powerful artifacts, and have now ed into the possession of one of the franchise’s most interesting new heroes. The rings’ ability to boost Shang-Chi's power levels enough to defeat the Dweller-in-Darkness are just one indication of their potential, marking Shang-Chi as a force to be reckoned with.

8 Reed Richards Is A Major Multiverse Hero

MCU Debut: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

The events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness marked a turning point in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. Its story saw the sorcerer travel to multiple realities in order to prevent the fabric of existence from being destroyed by the Scarlet Witch. The movie introduced a number of Multiversal variants, but perhaps the most powerful among them to have never previously appeared in the MCU was Reed Richards.

In the comics, Reed Richards is one of the most influential and intelligent heroes in the Marvel Universe. Multiverse of Madness’s Earth-838 variant of Richards appeared to be equally important, as he formed a part of that universe’s Illuminati, confirming him as a major player in his own right. Though he was swiftly defeated and only briefly appeared, Reed Richards’ introduction into the MCU marked the debut of a powerful hero within the franchise.

7 Agatha Harkness Has Huge Power Potential

MCU Debut: WandaVision (2021)

Agatha Harkness served as the main antagonist of 2021’s WandaVision, although her true nature wasn’t revealed until late on. Her manipulation of Wanda and her use of the Darkhold established Agatha as a formidable villain for the MCU, with the witch’s magical abilities proving a match for Wanda’s own in some areas. Though WandaVision’s ending saw Agatha lose her power, Agatha All Along’s story defines her true potential.

Agatha’s magical abilities are revealed to be rooted in those of others, as she is able to steal the powers of other witches who use their magic against her. This makes Agatha an especially deadly foe, as she could potentially leech a huge range of abilities and amass a staggering amount of power as a result. Her use of the Darkhold and the MCU’s explanation of her abilities have established her as an especially dangerous and powerful post-Endgame villain.

6 America Chavez Has The Ability To Travel The Multiverse

MCU Debut: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

The cast of Multiverse of Madness featured a number of hugely powerful characters, and America Chavez ranks highly among them. America’s reality-hopping abilities are the driving force behind much of the movie’s story, as Wanda seeks to harvest them for herself in order to find her sons somewhere in the Multiverse. Despite needing the assistance of Doctor Strange in the movie, America Chavez is a deceptively powerful new hero for the MCU.

Chavez’s ability to travel between realities without repercussions seemingly makes her a unique and singularly powerful figure. Multiverse of Madness sees America learn to gain some control over her abilities, hinting that her future in the MCU could see her become a major player in the Multiverse Saga and beyond. Though the true extent of her power has yet to be explored, it would seem that America Chavez is one of the MCU’s most capable young heroes.

5 Zeus Is The King Of The MCU's Gods

MCU Debut: Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Thor: Love and Thunder expands the MCU’s pantheon of gods massively, introducing numerous figures from the Marvel Universe in roles of varying significance. One of the most notable figures featured in the movie is Russell Crowe’s Zeus, who is depicted as a hedonistic and largely ineffective ruler of the gods in Omnipotence City. However, Zeus is undoubtedly one of the MCU’s most powerful new figures in more ways than one.

As well as being a hugely respected figure among the gods of the MCU, Zeus possesses many abilities. His thunderbolts are explained to be a source of unimaginable power, and his assistance is sought by Thor – an experienced Avenger – in his attempts to stop Gorr the God Butcher. What’s more, Zeus clearly carries major influence as the leader of the MCU’s gods, marking him as a potentially major player in future stories.

4 Wiccan Has Significant Magical Ability

MCU Debut: Agatha All Along (2024)

Though his initial appearance in Agatha All Along shrouded his identity in mystery, the character identified as Teen was later revealed to be Wiccan. In the comics, Wiccan is the son of Wanda Maximoff, and possesses many of the same abilities as the Scarlet Witch. As such, he’s a hugely powerful character, and he made his MCU debut in 2024 in Agatha All Along.

A variant of Billy Maximoff appeared in WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness, though any use of magical abilities was later revealed to be an illusion created by Wanda. Agatha All Along’s version of Wiccan possesses genuine magical abilities of his own, potentially making him one of the MCU’s most powerful magic s. Should the MCU employ even a modicum of comic-accuracy, Wiccan will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the franchise’s most powerful post-Endgame characters.

3 G’iah Possesses Many Of The Avengers' Powers

MCU Debut: Secret Invasion (2023)

Though G’iah started her Secret Invasion story as a relatively normal Skrull, the course of the show saw her transform into one of the MCU’s most over-powered characters. The daughter of Talos and initially an accomplice of Gravik and his rebels, G’iah later becomes an asset to Nick Fury and the forces of humanity by betraying Gravik. The ending of Secret Invasion sees her imbued with the power of the Harvest, adding many abilities to her initial shape-shifting powers.

G’iah is shown to be using the DNA of multiple MCU heroes and villains, including the cosmic power of Captain Marvel, Ghost’s intangibility, and the healing factor of Extremis. Possessing essentially every superpower to exist within the MCU makes G’iah massively powerful, as she is limited only by the fact that she’s still a single being. Even so, the Harvest boosted G’iah beyond imagination, making her a valuable post-Endgame ally.

2 Eternity Has Massively Powerful Abilities

MCU Debut: Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder, Eternity is undoubtedly one of the most powerful beings in the entire MCU. Though Eternity’s role in the franchise is reduced to granting a single wish to Gorr the God Butcher, the scope of the character’s abilities in the comics is effectively unimaginable. The MCU’s own depiction of Eternity indicates that this is almost certainly the same within the franchise, making the cosmic being one of its most powerful.

As well as being immortal, Eternity can alter reality at will, and is essentially both omnipotent and omnipresent. Not bound by any physical limitations, Eternity is largely considered one of Marvel’s most powerful figures, though often plays only a ive role in the developments of the universe. Even so, Eternity is an immensely powerful being who has been confirmed to exist within the MCU after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

1 Kang The Conqueror's Multiverse-Spanning Powers Are Extraordinary

MCU Debut: Loki (2021)

Kang the Conqueror’s planned MCU role might have been greatly reduced, but he’s undeniably a hugely powerful character in the franchise. First introduced in Loki as the variant known as He Who Remains, Kang later made his full debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The latter established just how dangerous Kang could be, not just on a personal level, but in of the entire Multiverse.

Quantumania outlined the sheer scope of Kang’s variants and their potential to wreak havoc upon the Marvel Universe. His many different variants give him far-reaching influence and a range of abilities, with many considering him one of Marvel’s deadliest and most dangerous villains. Despite the fact that his role in the Multiverse Saga was cut back significantly, Kang the Conqueror remains one of the most powerful characters to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Avengers: Endgame.
