One particular Redditor chose "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her" as the most recognizable movie quote. Playing Anna Scott, Roberts' famous line gave the character a vulnerability and openness that melted viewers' hearts. It was Scott's willingness to wear her heart on her sleeve and confess her feelings that made the line stand out and recognizable for the film it's in.

Titanic (1997)

"I'm king of the world!"

Jack Dawson screams at the front of the Titanic

Even though it's not particularly historically accurate, Titanic is a memorable film because it followed the tragic sinking of the titular ship and the unthinkable struggle people faced to survive after the disaster.

As one of the film's leading characters, Jack is of a lower class and manages to get a place on board the ship. Reddit one of Jack Dawson's best quotes in the movie.

In Grown Upspanic ensues when the adults have to explain what the word "wasted" means, but they play it off as meaning to really want ice cream. Upon hearing this, Becky comes back with a quote that Redditor simplexseason thinks is the most recognizable. "I wanna get chocolate wasted," is a great line because the character doesn't know what it really means, but is sweetly just trying to in the fun, but also using an adult word. Adam Sandler's movies have a great way of making every character hilarious, at some point.

The Lion King (1994)

"Hakuna Matata."

Some quotes are stand-alone, one-offs that just stick in the minds of viewers. But others are memorable because they are incorporated into a song or even the titular lyric.

Redditor CedarWolf decided "Hakuna Matata" is the most recognizable film quote, and there is definitely an argument here. Timone and Pumba were great characters for children to connect to and when they brought the wonderful phrase to light, it really stood out. The uplifting line is easy to recognize because of its uniqueness and feel-good factor and of course, the eccentric characters that say (or sing) it.
