A surprisingly long list of big-name movie franchises are poised to end in the same year - in 2021. As it often is with Hollywood, some of these movie franchises could be revived at some point in the future, but for now, their final installments are slated for 2021.
2021 could end up being a huge year for the box office, due to the sheer number of big movies scheduled to be released during that time. One reason for this is related to the fact that Jurassic World 3, and more.
Quite a few of the movies scheduled for 2021 will be the end for their respective franchises, though. Fast and Furious, Halloween, and Indiana Jones all have just one more movie left. Halloween Ends will actually "end" the franchise, it, too, is supposedly the final chapter.
Jurassic World 3 and releasing on the same day - could serve as finales for the two Keanu Reeves-led franchises.
What's surprising about this is just how many franchises are coming to an end, almost at the same time. Whether or not this is really the swan song for all these franchises, it's still easy to see why 2021 could be such a record-breaking year for the movie business. A lot of these movie franchises have been around for decades, so seeing them come to an end, and so quickly after one another, will certainly be interesting to see unfold.
