After Are You The One? season 9 premiered on Paramount+, it's no wonder there are questions regarding whether any couples from season 8 are still together. The 2019 season of one of the best reality TV shows marked the first reality dating show to include sexually fluid contestants. Rather than ten heterosexual males looking for matches among ten heterosexual females, all the contestants in season 8 were bisexual and eligible to be paired with anyone in the Hawaiian villa.

The fallout of Are You The One? season 8 has died down. However, it's always a fun exercise to look back and catch up with what the previous cast are up to nowadays. Additionally, it's fun to revisit old seasons while awaiting the potential release of Are You The One? season 8 doesn't rank first of all the seasons, it's still worth catching up with the cast post-matchmaking.

Aasha & Brandon

Not Together

Aasha Wells and Brandon Davis were confirmed as the only Perfect Match in the truth booth in season 8, allowing them to remain together for the final five weeks of the competition. Despite being one of the best Are You The One? couples, they itted they split in the unofficial reunion episode once the show ended. Aasha still resides in Florida and recently started her podcast called Aasha Uncensored. Earning her Communications and Journalism degree is paying off for Aasha.

Brandon's fate since competing on the show is less clear. The former athlete and fitness guru from Salt Lake City, who has a military family background, has yet to appear on another reality TV show. However, the timing of the pandemic may have attributed to his disappearance from the spotlight. With a nonexistent social media presence, it's difficult to tell what Brandon is up to in 2023.

Amber & Remy

New York natives Amber Martinez and Remy Duran never sat together once, yet were declared a Perfect Match during the season finale. After competing in Are You The One?, Amber participated in The Challenge: Double Agents in 2020-21. Amber co-hosts a The Challenge reaction show on YouTube, though there hasn't been an update in two years. By all s, Amber now lives in Los Angeles.

Since his time on the show, Remy has parlayed his minor celebrity into influencing legions of social media followers. He has further monetized his popularity from the show with an OnlyFans . That match was between Basit Shittu and Jonathan Monroe, a genuine couple who sat together for 7 out of 10 weeks. Danny & Kai

Danny Prikazsky and Kai Wes linked up in week one and sat together five times before being declared a Perfect Match in the finale. Danny has since parlayed his charming screen presence into several short film appearances and TV shows like The Verdict and Rogue Theory. He appears to be fusing his background as a data tech scientist with more acting roles to produce content for brands such as Monster Fight Club for Crypt TV.

After appearing in MTV's True Life: Quarantine Stories and producing the short film Them in 2020, Kai Wes continues to raise awareness for the LGBTQ+ community as a transmasculine non-binary person who uses they/them pronouns. Kai has documented their brave transition on Instagram and appeared on G-Flip's IG Live for Playboy. The advocate seems to be connected romantically to intimacy coach Hunter Rae.

Jasmine & Nour

As for Paige, the Allen, Texas native, lives in New York City, where she gives video tutorials on exotic dancing. Paige and Remy itted to hooking up and enjoying a brief fling during the finale of Are You The One? season 8, although Paige appears to be single in 2024. She has changed her look drastically, growing out her short brown hair and opting for a flattering blonde bob cut.

Kariselle & Max

After the show, Kari relocated from New Jersey to Baltimore, where she works as a professional NFL cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens as part of the Raven's Playmakers Squad.

Justin & Kylie

Justin Palm and Kylie Smith never sat together once throughout the show, yet were revealed as Perfect Matches in the finale. After competing, Justin relocated from his native Palmdale, California, to New York, where he works as a photographer and content creator. Since his Instagram is private, it's difficult to tell whether Justin is currently single.

As for Kylie, the Utah native appeared on the MTV dating show Match Me If You Can in 2021. Kylie moved to New York and continues to earn a living as a model. Hopefully, all the Are You The One? season 8 contestants find love sooner than later.

While the show primarily focuses on matchmaking, the entertainment value of watching all of these contrasting personalities interact makes the show such an outstanding watch. While none of the couples have maintained a relationship, their stint on the Reality TV show has provided them a fantastic opportunity to grow their images and brands online. Most contestants have taken advantage of their spotlight and managed to build a media empire.

If nothing else, the inclusive environment of Are You The One? enables contestants to identify what they are seeking in future partners in a judgment-free atmosphere. For people like Jenna Brown, it may have provided a platform to meet others outside of her immediate circle. In the meantime, viewers can look forward to a new season, with a new host of personalities, in hopes that a contestant can truly find their one and only.
