Disney's live-action the Mulan remake will include musical elements, it won't be a typical musical the way the original was.
However, that doesn't mean there won't be songs for fans to enjoy. Disney just released a brand-new song for the movie by Christina Aguilera, titled "Loyal Brave True." Aguilera's connection to Mulan goes back to the first film, where her recording of the classic Disney song "Reflection" helped popularize the movie while also jump-starting her career. "Loyal Brave True" wouldn't sound out of place on the original film's soundtrack, which shows that the new film will adhere to the spirit of the animated classic. Check out Aguilera's new song below:
In addition to the music change, the new Mulan will also be missing Pirates of the Caribbean have also been rated PG-13. The rating is likely because of battle sequences, something Aguilera's new song seems to reference. Fans will have to wait until Mulan releases later this month to see exactly how "Loyal Brave True" fits in with the final film.
