Summary
- My Adventures With Superman season 2 will likely feature General Zod and Brainiac as the main villains, with fresh takes on these iconic characters.
- Superman's journey to understand his origins and purpose will likely continue in season 2, potentially taking him to outer space.
- The mystery of Kal-El's purpose on Earth, as well as what happened in Krypton before the planet's destruction, could be important storylines in My Adventures With Superman season 2.
My Adventures With Superman season 2 will have plenty of storylines to address, including the introductions of Brainiac and General Zod. Even before season 1 finished, My Adventures With Superman season 2 had already been confirmed to be in development at Adult Swim. This helps explain why season 1 ended on so many cliffhangers, including but not limited to Jimmy Olsen becoming a millionaire and the reveal of the Kryptonian that was attacking Earth. My Adventures With Superman season 1 combined classic DC Comics tropes with reinvented versions of iconic characters, resulting in a unique show that can only become better in season 2.
’s season 1 ending was both emotional and action-packed, with Superman having to protect Earth from a Kryptonian army. The General, who believed Superman to be part of the invasion at first, eventually gave up on killing the Man of Steel after Lois Lane asked him not to. Clark’s conversation with Jor-El, which still left a lot of unanswered questions, was also a key moment for Superman. Even though Superman defeated the robots and the portal was closed, Earth is still in danger. Here are the biggest theories for what will happen in My Adventures With Superman season 2.
7 General Zod Will Attack Earth
My Adventures With Superman episode 10 introduced the show’s version of General Zod, although Zod’s face has yet to be shown. Presumably, the Kryptonian wearing full armor that once attacked Earth is Zod, who then appeared in the final minutes of the season finale in a slightly different suit. My Adventures With Superman’s villains have been significantly different from how they are usually portrayed, such as Silver Banshee’s powers being tech-based or Slade Wilson hearing Iron Man-like armor. As such, it is safe to say that My Adventures With Superman’s General Zod will be a fresh take on the character as well.
Therefore, it would not be surprising if Zod spent most of the time in his Kryptonian armor. My Adventures With Superman’s Krypton seems to have been a planet of conquerors, which would explain why Zod has an armada ready to invade other planets. It is also important to that Kryptonians are not super strong on every planet – Earth’s red sun is what made Kal-El so strong. This is probably why Zod, who is invading one planet at a time, wears armor. Something similar was done with Man of Steel’s General Zod, who wore Kryptonian armor until he could control his new abilities on Earth.
6 Superman Will Go To Space
My Adventures With Superman season 1 explored Clark Kent’s journey to understand who he was, where he came from, and why he was sent to Earth. Some of those questions have yet to be answered, including whether Kal-El was supposed to conquer Earth on behalf of Krypton. Clark’s search for the truth may take him to outer space in season 2, something that did not happen in the first season. In addition, the introduction of Zod and Brainiac in My Adventures With Superman, both of which were on another planet, suggests that the show will return to space in season 2.
5 Jor-El & Clark Will Finally Be Able To Communicate
Clark has interacted with Jor-El’s consciousness in My Adventures With Superman, but they have not been able to communicate with each other. Apart from one specific line, Jor-El has only spoken in Kryptonian, and neither Clark nor the viewers know what he is saying. Jor-El, who has a unique design compared to other versions of Superman’s father, might be the key to understanding why Kal-El was really sent to Earth. This version of Jor-El appears to have been a warrior, from the Man of Steel-like armor to the eyepatch. With Zod and Brainiac now in the show, Jor-El might play a central role in My Adventures With Superman season 2.
4 Brainiac Will Be Revealed As My Adventures With Superman’s True Villain
My Adventures With Superman season 1 concluded with the introduction of Brainiac, or at least one of Brainiac’s robots. The three-dot symbol that had previously appeared in the Kryptonian drones that attacked Earth, as well as in front of Jor-El’s AI consciousness, all but confirmed Brainiac’s involvement in the story. Then, a Brainiac robot wearing a scarf reported back to General Zod, suggesting they were working together. Interestingly, it seems like Brainiac answers to General Zod. Zod is the one leading the Kryptonian armada, which by itself is made of drones powered by Brainiac.
However, Brainiac should be more powerful than Zod. For example, in most versions of Superman’s lore, Brainiac captured Argo, Krypton’s most important city. Perhaps Brainiac has its own agenda, whereas Zod thinks the living computer is working for him. It appears that, just like in the DC Animated Universe timeline, Brainiac was created by the Kryptonians. This would explain why so much of Krypton’s technology has the three-dot design. Most of My Adventures With Superman’s villains, from Live Wire to Deathstroke, have been tech-based. As such, Brainiac being the show’s main villain would make a lot of sense.
3 Lex Luthor Will Develop Tech For Amanda Waller
My Adventures With Superman’s Alex has not been referred to as Lex Luthor yet. However, the ginger scientist who worked for Dr. Ivo is a younger Lex Luthor. This became even more obvious after Alex gave an interview to Vicky Vale arguing that Superman should not be trusted. As a genius inventor who is not a fan of Superman, Alexander “Lex” Luthr is the perfect member of Amanda Waller’s Task Force X. With the General refusing to kill Superman, Waller is set to be the one chasing Superman in season 2. Luthor and Waller working together is always a highlight of DC Comics’ stories.
2 The Evil Superman Will Return
The biggest unresolved storyline from season 1 is the evil Superman reveal. My Adventures With Superman’s Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Clark Kent have all seen the interdimensional footage of an evil Superman using his heat vision against the citizens of Metropolis. This impacted Clark Kent a great deal, yet the evil Superman himself has yet to appear on the show. My Adventures With Superman’s multiverse story, which includes the League of Lois Lanes and even referenced other DC Animated TV shows, will likely be revisited in season 2. It will be interesting to see how the multiverse plot will tie into Brainiac and Zod.
1 My Adventures With Superman Season 2 Will Introduce The Phantom Zone
General Zod’s introduction in My Adventures With Superman season 1 means the Phantom Zone should appear on the show soon. In fact, the Phantom Zone may have already been introduced. Zod has access to some sort of wormhole device that allows for intergalactic travel – the portal that appeared in Smallville and brought the Brainiac drones to Earth. Zod is usually sent to the Phantom Zone before Krypton’s destruction in Superman’s canon. However, Zod is free during the events of the show. The Kryptonian general must have found a way out of the “void dimension” and managed to turn it into a portal to other worlds.
