The return of one of anime's hottest rom-com titles, My Dress-Up Darling, is finally just around the corner. After becoming something of a sleeper hit with its first season in 2022, the series gained a massive following thanks to its unique spin on the romance genre and focus on its characters' personal growth and aspirations. Though Season Two was announced shortly following the completion of Season One, nearly three years ed before any update was given on its return.

Now, after the anime's source material by Shinichi Fukuda reached its conclusion in March of this year, My Dress-Up Darling Season Two is scheduled to arrive in July 2025. To celebrate, an all-new trailer was released, giving fans a preview of the anime's opening theme, "Ao to Kirameki" by Spira Spica. Fans won't want to miss out on the latest sneak peek of Season Two's all-new visuals and music.

My Dress-Up Darling Looks to Continue Its Success With Season Two

The Latest Smash Hit Rom-Com Anime Is Finally Returning This July

Following a highly successful debut in 2022, studio CloverWorks' adaptation of My Dress-Up Darling only continued growing its popularity and attracting hordes of new fans to check out Shinichi Fukuda's original manga series, which debuted in 2018. The series has found success by incorporating niche interests like cosplay creation, and keeping them central to the ongoing events while also following the growth of main characters Wakana Gojo and Marin Kitagawa.

The anime is set to further the lovable romance between both fan-favorite characters in Season Two, and will likely shoot My Dress-Up Darling up the popularity charts once more, though it may be difficult for the series to rival the sheer number of cute moments featured in Season One. Alongside its romance elements, the series also captures the difficulties faced by young people pursuing creative careers, and keeps both closely intertwined as Marin and Wakana inspire each other while growing closer.

The highly anticipated return of My Dress-Up Darling is yet another strong romance title set to air in 2025, and though many fans might have the series pegged for top rom-com of the year, it won't be the only show gunning for the title.
