Ever since the dust of the Paranormal Liberation War has settled, the world of Endeavor Todoroki.

If the latest chapters have been life-changing for anyone, Endeavor certainly tops the list. A recent confessional from a long lost family has burned his golden reputation to the ground. League of Villains member, Dabi, publicly revealed himself to be the oldest son of Endeavor, Toya Todoroki. In this broadcast, he dug up some family secrets that showed the world Endeavor's dark, abusive past as a father. While Endeavor believed his son to be dead, he was instead very much alive and plotting this act of revenge in the shadows.

It's hard to say just how Endeavor can recover from this plot twist, but considering he was known as the new No. 1 Hero, it doesn't look like things will be easy for him following his recovery. Chapter 300 of the series, appropriately titled The Hellish Todoroki Family, Part 2, displays Endeavor's tragic realization of his circumstances. He finally understands the depth of his decisions and accepts the consequences ahead of him. Interrupting his emotional confession of guilt, his family enters the hospital room. The appearance of his wife, Rei, surprises the recovering hero the most. She insists they have a proper conversation following the recent events. Specifically, in regards to their son, Toya.

Rei My Hero Academia Chapter 300

While Rei has been a highly understated character in the MHA series, she seems to have found her voice at this moment. She has struggled with standing her ground against her husband for the majority of the series. In demanding a conversation that will certainly be painful for Endeavor, Rei has made great strides in her own character development. It's possible she may even be there to reveal some secrets of her own.

Still, readers must wait on the edge of their seats to hear what Rei has come to tell her husband. It's highly likely a Todoroki reunion more dramatic than ever before is just around the corner. With an unhinged character like Dabi in the max, getting the family together will be a bit more difficult than the average message sent in a group chat. Rei has a tough road ahead of her if she plans to make any changes to the current situation, though the responsibility rests more on Endeavor's shoulders to amend his past mistakes.

If that wasn't enough drama, some readers may speculate a big reveal from Rei herself. Has she been keeping something from the family? Or, is Toya not done telling readers his side of the story? The chances of Toya settling down for a diplomatic conversation with the rest of the Todoroki family seem slim. However, flashbacks to his childhood may hint at a deep desire to feel accepted by the same people who treated him as an outcast. If Rei and Toya both know something readers don't, their stories in My Hero Academia may just get a bit more interesting than they already are.
