Warning! Spoilers for My Hero Academia Chapter 321 ahead!

The students of Class 1-A in My Hero Academia have been trying to stop Deku as he rampages across Japan to face All For One alone. All of their efforts to subdue him have failed thus far, but one of them may have finally succeeded. It just took five of them performing an epic combo to catch up with their headstrong friend.

Deku first embarked on his solo mission when he learned that All For One was after his One For All quirk. He felt that staying at U.A. High would put his classmates in danger, so he disappeared before they could talk him out of it. But Deku's friends knew that something was wrong and were able to convince the number-one hero Endeavor to tell them what was going on and where he was located. And now that they have found him, Deku is still trying to continue on his own.

Many of Deku's classmates originally tried reasoning with him and, when that failed, attempted subduing him with their quirks. But that didn't work, either. So they all just resorted to a tactic that's clearly a last ditch effort just based on its complexity. In chapter 321, Deku attempts to escape his friends by first using Blackwhip to cling to various buildings while flying in one direction. Once the quirk's black tendrils have stretched as far as they can, their elasticity jettisons him in the opposite direction like a slingshot. Deku then gives himself some extra oomph by summoning Fa Jin-Feux and 45% of One for All to propel himself even farther away at an even higher velocity.

To catch up with him, Deku's classmates perform a new version of a trick they originally used called "The Ramp to Greatness." The ramp successfully got Bakugo out of danger while All Might fought in the pivotal battle against All For One that resulted in the former number-one hero losing his powers. In this new rendition, Shoto Todoroki uses Flash Freeze and Heatwave to create the ramp, Mina Ashido constructs the vessel that will travel up the ramp using Solubility 0.1% Protective Coating Acid Man, Katsuki Bakugo positions himself behind and launches the vessel up the ramp with Explosive Speed Turbo Cluster, and Ochaco Uraraka touches the flying vessel once it has flown off the ramp so it will have zero gravity and fly farther. To man the vessel and reach Deku, Class 1-A chose Tenya Ida because only he could withstand traveling at such speeds. Their efforts seem to have paid off because Ida not only catches up with Deku, but takes ahold of his hand and gets him to cry.

While Ida and Deku have a close relationship in My Hero Academia, Class 1-A should have chosen either Bakugo or Uraraka to serve as their last resort to connect with Deku. Uraraka is the obvious choice, just based on her adorable chemistry with Deku. Bakugo is a close second because of how much their relationship has evolved over the course of their lives. The two had been childhood friends before Bakugo started bullying Deku incessantly, a misdeed he continued for most of their first year at U.A. High. But Bakugo recently redeemed himself by putting all of that aside to befriend Deku. As for Ida, his relationship with Deku has gone through an evolution of sorts, but is not as profound as Bakugo's and not enough to trump the sexual tension between Deku and Uraraka. Ida might be protective of Deku now, but he hasn't done anything that suggests he's close enough to Deku to warrant being his savior. Luckily if this attempt fails, either Bakugo or Uraraka should be able to successfully appeal to their friend's emotional side in future chapters of My Hero Academia.
