As a series with such a wide cast, My Hero Academia is a favorite for those fans who enjoy shipping, the hobby of pairing up characters into romantic relationships. Now, the series is tipping its hat to some romantic pairings that even a lot of shippers didn't see coming.

My Hero Academia: Team Up Missions puts together groups of hero students, from U.A. and elsewhere, to take on one-off missions that can be anything from promotional events to training. Earlier chapters brought back Tohru Hagakure (Invisible Girl) and Mashirao Ojiro (Tailman).

Chapter 6 of Team Up Missions sees Hagakure and Ojiro sent to a small, private hero school on an island in order to give a presentation to some younger kids. While the kids are impressed by her invisibility, Ojiro's tail is not seen as much of a quirk by some. When one of the kids gets lost, Ojiro ends up saving the day, proving to the kid that being a hero isn't all about a quirk's power. As Hagakure and Ojiro chat while waiting to leave the island, she touches him in a way that he believes is a kiss, but which she claims was merely her fingers (having removed her glove to do so stealthily). As secondary characters in Class 1-A, Hagakure and Ojiro have had some interactions before, such as Hagakure growing embarrassed when she had to change into her Invisible Girl outfit (aka undress) in front of him, despite it being impossible for him to see anything and her running around like that all the time anyway. Still, there hasn't been much to indicate any romantic potential between the two outside of this chapter.

But Hagakure and Ojiro aren't the only ones getting the shipping treatment in this volume. Chapter 4 sees Class 1-B's Shihai Kuroiro hit by the strange hero Odd-Eye's quirk, which forces him to confess that he gets shy and embarrassed around girls, particularly Kinoko Komori, the mushroom girl from 1-B. Chapter 8 also keeps the focus on 1-B, emphasizing Neito Monoma's attraction to Itsuka Kendo as a reason why he tolerates her abuse, something which draws concern from Midoriya and Iida. Chapter 9 once again highlights Camie Utsushimi's crush on Shoto Todoroki, drooling over his looks, and involves her casting an illusory Todoroki as the knight-in-shining-armor hero of the play they're supposed to be putting on.

While a lot of fans may not be involved in the romance aspect of My Hero Academia beyond whether Uraraka and Midoriya will get together, those that enjoy the romance may find a lot of fun ship teases going on in Team Up Missions.
