While Midoriya may arguably be his highest-profile role to date, Briner has lent (and continues to lend) his talents to many a popular anime series, from providing background and additional voices (to help fill out a scene) to voicing main characters that put his performance front and center.

Dr. Stone - Ginro

Ginro making a weird face

Adapted from the manga by author Riichiro Inagaki and artist Boichi, Dr. Stone follows scientific genius Senku Ishigami after he awakens from a mysterious global phenomenon that turned all of humanity into stone.

Emerging 3,000 years into the future, Senku and his friends commit to the lengthy goal of taking the savage, post-apocalyptic world and rebuilding the modern one. Briner lends his voice to Ginro, the lazy and cowardly warrior hailing from Ishigami Village, a settlement of humans that Senku miraculously stumbles onto (also home to some of the series's best characters).

Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash - Manato

Manato in a forest

Based on the light novel of the same name, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash follows a group of teens who awaken underground with no memories beyond their own names. They emerge from the dark into a world known as Grimgar, a fantastical land full of adventure.

The group sticks together and sets out, unsure of what awaits them in this new world. Justin Briner brings his talents to the character Manato, the charismatic leader of the group who doubles as its healer and is viewed as a big brother figure to the main character, Haruhiro.

Fire Force - Sho Kusakabe

From manga artist Atsushi Ohkubo, Fire Force introduces audiences to a world plagued by demented demons who have a nasty habit of possessing people and bursting them into flames. This predicament prompts the existence of a special firefighting unit known as the Fire Force, a unit Shinra Kusakabe is desperate (and uniquely fit) to serve in.

He s Company 8 and sets out to get to the bottom of this sinister anomaly before it's too late. Briner voices Sho Kusakabe, Shinra's mysterious little brother who he's long believed to be dead, before their fateful reunion.

Drifters - Yoichi

Justin Briner finds himself at the forefront of another main role in Drifters. From manga artist Kouta Hirano, the anime follows real-life samurai Toyohisa Shimazu as he's mysteriously pulled into a doorway and transported to another world, greeted by kindly elves.

After meeting fellow real-life samurai Oda Nobunaga and Nasu no Yoichi, they discover the threat that possibly drew them to this strange world in the first place. Briner lends his voice to the aforementioned Yoichi, a young, skilled, and lanky warrior who serves as the sharpshooting archer of the formidable trio.

DARLING in the FRANXX - 9a

DARLING in the FRANXX_9A

An original anime series that actually inspired a manga of the same name, DARLING in the FRANXX follows a group of young pilots in a post-apocalyptic world, where their lives consist solely of battling giant lifeforms called Kyouryuu.

Hiro, a once-promising pilot of the robots known as FRANXX, meets a mysterious girl (with horns) who will change the fate of both him and the fight for humanity's survival. Briner voices the arrogant and elegant 9a (AKA 9 Alpha), a pilot of the FRANXX and leader of a specialized unit known as the 9's.

Seraph of the End - Michaela Hyakuya

Briner once again delves into the hugely popular post-apocalyptic sub-genre with Seraph of the End. Based on the manga of the same name, the anime picks up right after a global pandemic wipes out the adult population. Vampires emerge from the shadows and seize the opportunity to take over and enslave the remaining humans as a constant food source.

The young protagonist, Yuichiro Hyakuya, manages to escape their clutches and the fight to free humanity from the vampires. Briner voices the brave Michaela Hyakuya, who was turned into a vampire against his will and seeks to reunite with his beloved brother Yuichiro.

Toilet Bound Hanako-kun - Hanako

Hanako

One of the stranger titles in a medium filled with bizarre ones, Toilet Bound Hanako-kun follows occult enthusiast Nene Yashiro who's eager to explore Kamome Academy's many rumored mysteries. But things go a little unplanned when she accidentally becomes bonded with Hanako-kun, a playfully sly ghost dwelling in the girls' bathroom.

The newly connected duo sets out to maintain the peace between their two worlds while avoiding trouble themselves. Briner lends his voice to the titular Hanako, a fiercely loyal and caring ghost who appears as a young boy and oversees the famous mysteries of Kamome Academy.

Classroom of the Elite - Kiyotaka Ayanokoji

Adapted from the light novel of the same name, Classroom of the Elite introduces viewers to Tokyo Kouda Ikusei Senior High School, a school with a prestigious reputation for producing the nation's best and brightest.

Students are free to talk, sleep, and goof off during class, however, a point-based hierarchy and big cash prize incentives are more than enough to motivate everyone's best. Justin Briner stars as the protagonist Kiyotaka, a new student who finds himself at the very bottom of the school hierarchy in the dreaded Class-D, where he and his classmates scheme to get to the top.

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc - Yukito/Yue

Yukito and Yue

Adapted from manga artist group CLAMP's follow-up to their smash hit (and somewhat controversial) 90's series Cardcaptor SakuraCardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc picks back up with the titular Sakura. After successfully capturing all the Clow Cards, Sakura is set to enter middle school and return to normal life.

But when her own cards lose their power after she wakes up from a strange dream, she begins collecting new magical cards once again. Briner voices the universally loved (and crushed on) Yukito Tsukishiro, as well as his Card Guardian alter-ego, Yue.

Black Clover - Luck Voltia

Luck Voltia looking excited

Artist Yuuki Tabata's smash hit series needs little introduction, but much like its protagonist Asta, Black Clover has had little trouble loudly making itself known. The shonen anime follows Asta and Yuno, two orphans with the shared goal of someday becoming the Wizard King.

In a world where magic is everything, that is no easy feat, but Yuno's natural talent for magic gives him a chance. However, for Asta, who can't use magic at all, things are going to be a little bit harder. Briner lends his talents to Luck Voltia, the constantly smiling (slightly psychotic) Black Bull squate of Asta.
