Chapter 335 of run wild with fan theories and suspects.

Very early in the manga, there were a series of hints that there was a traitor amongst either the student or staff at U.A. High. After villains invaded a training exercise that should have been secure, many working for U.A. High suspected that someone at the facility had betrayed them. Considering the only people present were classes 1-A, 1-B, and the faculty themselves, it was a grim prospect. Now, more than three hundred chapters later, fans of My Hero Academia finally learned that the traitor was none other than Invisible Girl, Toru Hagakure, and their reaction to the news has been priceless.

On Twitter, many fans are backtracking through the series to find any hints left by author Kōhei Horikoshi and connect all the dots, rousing a sarcastic reaction from some of their fellow fans.

Others are gracing the internet with reaction tweets and memes. One Twitter went for the simplest of punchlines, but also the most effective

Invisible Girl was never in the spotlight, and now fans can understand why. She has the perfect quirk for a spy, so much that her identity as the traitor was considered too obvious by many fans. Her power is constantly active, meaning that she can easily slip away without being noticed.  Despite being a secondary character, however, Toru gathered a small but dedicated fandom. Overcoming the handicap of her quirk, Toru gets along with everyone thanks to her bubbly personality and her enthusiasm in participating in the many activities of the academy. Of course, not everyone shares the same positive attitude towards Invisible Girl.

Toru's fans, however, are not ready to give up on her. Looking for a reason for her betrayal, many are pointing at the main villain, All for One, and his capacity to manipulate people preying on their weaknesses. In this case, he may have promised Toru to get rid of her troublesome quirk so that the girl can finally live a "normal" life. Invisibility may seem like a fun and useful power, but it quickly turns into a nightmare when you can never turn it off, meaning that no one can ever look at you, not even yourself.

Before the next chapter of My Hero Academia is released, there can only be speculation on Toru's motives, her possible redemption, and OFA's master plan. Meanwhile, My Hero Academia fans can the time enjoying this and many other fantastic memes sparked by last chapter's reveal.
