Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is finally starting its new arc, and it is very exciting given that the story will take place outside Konoha and the Land of Fire for the first time in a very long time. Furthermore, a new group of characters will be taking a leading role in this mission, and the arc will do justice to an underrated character who has been ignored for far too long.

The official website of Naruto and Boruto releases a sneak peek one week before the publication of the latest chapter, and the preview for chapter #16 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is a good one. It shows Araya and Yodo standing on top of a rock, welcoming Konohamaru into the Land of Wind and thanking him for his cooperation. Konohamaru then says they should get started and begin the mission. The series is wasting no time heading into its next arc, and better yet, the setting won't be in Konoha.

Konohamaru Is Finally Getting The Screentime He Deserves

The Future Hokage Will Have The Spotlight In This Arc

A major criticism of Boruto Part 1 was the underutilized side characters, particularly Team 7. Sarada and Mitsuki's lack of importance, especially given they were part of the main cast, was highly contentious. However, Konohamaru being ignored stung even more given how much he was liked in Naruto and his lofty goals of being a Hokage one day. In the first arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, his role grew significantly, not only debuting a new impressive version of the Rasengan but also taking a leading role in Boruto's interrogation alongside the highest authorities of Konoha.

However, Konohamaru leading the mission to save the Kazekage, Gaara, is very impressive and shows how the creators are willing to redeem him and make him finally live up to his potential. Furthermore, Araya and Yodo participating in this mission is also great for world-building as it finally shows that there are characters outside Konoha who are affected by the actions of the God Trees and Jura. This also leads to higher tension and stakes, as the series shows the perspective of people around the world, which makes the situation look even grimmer.

The Reveal Of The Other Of The Mission Will Be Exciting

While Konohamaru is very capable, it is very unlikely he was sent on this mission by himself. As is standard in most S-rank missions, the group leader usually has two or three other with him, as was the case in the search for Hidan and Kakuzu. Mitsuki is a very real possibility given how he earned the trust of Shikamaru when he freed Boruto from his cuffs. He is also very powerful and intelligent, so he would be a big asset. The other , though, could be anyone, and the chapter #16 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, releasing on November 20, will likely reveal who will be ing Konohamaru on this mission.
