Naruto Uzumaki has quickly become one of the strongest characters in the Naruto franchise, and his jutsu is a big reason why. Naruto has never been one to shy away from the front lines, and in order to fight against some of the strongest enemies around, he's had to learn otherwise impossible techniques. Some of Naruto's techniques are so absurdly powerful, they're closer to god-level than a normal ninja.

Naruto has used some of his strongest jutsu against the Ōtsutsuki clan, the strongest characters in Naruto and the few characters closest to actual divinity. While there are no characters in Naruto that can stand up to these beastly characters (outside Sasuke), Naruto has defeated several Ōtsutsuki thanks to his jutsu. There are few moments more entertaining in Naruto than seeing the titular character unlock a new jutsu in time to destroy one of his enemies with it.

7 Rasenshuriken

Naruto's Strongest Jutsu Before The Fourth Great Ninja War

Before the Fourth Great Ninja War, the Rasenshuriken was easily Naruto's strongest jutsu. By adding his Wind Release to a normal Rasengan, he can create a Rasenshuriken, an attack that destroys his opponents at a cellular level. It was the attack Naruto used to defeat the near-immortal Kakuzu, shredding his cells apart until there was nothing left. The normal Rasenshuriken strikes with so many attacks, even Kakashi's Sharingan can't count them all.

Naruto eventually had to stop using the Rasenshuriken because it was destroying his body as well. After learning Senjutsu, however, he was able to throw the attack like a shuriken, allowing him to use the attack without hurting himself.

There are a ton of variations to the Rasenshuriken, each adding versatility, adaptability, and a unique edge to the powerful attack. There's the Big Ball Rasenshuriken, Mini-Rasenshuriken, and all the Sage Art Rasenshurikens as well. The Rasengan was always one of Naruto's most famous techniques, and with his Wind Release added to it, it became one of Naruto.

6 Six Paths Sage Mode

Several Of Naruto's Strongest Forms Combined Into One

The Sage of Six Paths is one of the strongest characters in Naruto. He's referred to as the ancestor of all shinobi, defending the Earth from his mother, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, with his brother Hamura. He's also the first ever Jinchūriki, absorbing the Ten-Tails within himself and gaining a massive reserve of chakra. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Hagoromo visited both Naruto and Sasuke and gifted them the power they needed to take down Madara.

Over the course of the series, Naruto unlocks the powerful Sage of Six Paths Mode. Here are 10 pieces of fan art paying tribute to the technique.

He gave Naruto the Six Paths Sage Mode, an incredible upgrade that was one of the first jutsu to transition Naruto from a strong shinobi to a nearly otherworldly being. At this point in the series, Madara Uchiha was having an easy time against Naruto. This form changed everything, allowing Naruto to save Might Guy's life, restore Kakashi's missing eye, and deflect the ever-powerful truth-seeking orbs.

Six Paths Sage Mode is one of Naruto's strongest forms because it grants him access to a ton of new, powerful jutsu. He can also combine it with his already powerful Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, giving Naruto the trademark orange-yellow glow that signifies just how strong he is.

5 Truth-Seeking Orbs (Truth-Seeking Balls)

These Orbs Can Nullify Any Ninjutsu In The World

The Truth-Seeking Orbs seemed to be the most overpowered ability when they were introduced. They were initially used by Madara and Obito Uchiha, two of Naruto. Only those who awaken Six Paths Senjutsu are able to use this technique or those who have become the Jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails, making it one of the rarest in Naruto.

The Truth-Seeking Orbs are especially powerful because of their ability to be used both offensively and defensively. The Orbs have all five basic natures in them, allowing them to generate a wide variety of effects. One of their strongest aspects is that they can nullify any ninjutsu headed their way. While they can't nullify attacks imbued with senjutsu, few ninja even know senjutsu, making it a fairly strong weak point.

10 Best Fights in Naruto Shippuden That Inspired A Generation

Many battles in Naruto Shippuden are filled with poetic drama, while others are just flat-out epic and cool, but only ten can be ranked as the best.

Truth-Seeking Orbs are also one of the only ways to permanently injure those brought back to life through the Impure World Reincarnation jutsu, or the Reanimation Jutsu. Madara uses the Orbs to take both of Minato Namikaze's arms, restricting his usage of Rasengans and his Flying Thunder God Jutsu.

4 Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken

A Jutsu That Allows Naruto To Combine Powerful Chakra With An Insane Attack

Naruto's Rasenshuriken was his strongest jutsu when he first developed it. The jutsu was so strong that the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, demanded that he stopped using it because it was destroying his body. After learning Senjutsu, however, Naruto learned how to throw the Rasenshuriken and mitigate all the damage he would have received. Still, the Rasenshuriken used up so much of Naruto's chakra that he could only use it a few times per day.

Black Clover And My Hero Academia Borrow From Naruto, So I Don't Get Why One Anime Gets More Hate Than the Other

Black Clover and My Hero Academia both take a lot of inspiration from Naruto, so why doesn't My Hero Academia get the same flak as Black Clover?

When Naruto united with the Tailed Beasts, he was able to add their chakras to his Rasenshuriken. At first, he was only able to add one at a time. Still, his Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken was enough to threaten Madara and cut the Divine Tree in half. It's an amazing ability that gives Naruto a ton of different options when looking to add chakra to his Rasenshuriken, adding much needed versatility to an already devastating attack.

3 Sage Art: Super Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken

Naruto Uses Each Of The Tailed Beasts' Chakras Through 9 Separate Rasenshurikens

Naruto's Rasengan reached yet another evolution when he gained the chakra of each of the Tailed Beasts. When Kaguya Ōtsutsuki entered the series, the protagonists had never seen anyone like her. They had no idea how to fight her, what she was capable of, or if any of their attacks would even phase her. Kaguya displayed just a few of her incredible skills when she teleported the group from realm to realm in a jutsu nobody in Team Seven was familiar with.

During the fight, Naruto came up with a great idea to see what Kaguya was weak against. He decided that instead of hitting with different chakra attacks one after another, he would hit her with multiple at the same time. It was a great idea that created the Sage Art: Super Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken. The Sage Art: Super Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken is a special attack in which Naruto uses all nine different Tailed Beasts chakras at once through nine separate Rasenshurikens.

Face It: Naruto Was Way More Powerful Than Sasuke By the Anime's End and It's Not Close

Naruto vs. Sasuke in the final battle of Naruto: Shippuden has been a subject of debate for a decade, but it wasn't as close as anyone thinks.

While the attack doesn't damage Kaguya on the surface, it does disrupt her ability to maintain a human form. It's an amazing feat that shows just how far Naruto has come in a few different aspects. First, it shows how strong Naruto's ninjutsu has become, as he's one of the only ninjas in the series to control nine separate chakras at once. Second, Naruto's ability to gain the trust of each of the Tailed Beasts is a feat in and of itself as well.

2 Six Paths: Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken

Naruto's Strongest Attack Before Boruto

The final battle of Naruto: Shippuden pits two of the biggest rivals in anime against each other to determine the fate of the ninja world. Sasuke and Naruto fight at each of their strongest points in the series in one of the greatest fights in history. The fight sees the pair start in their base forms, using simple taijutsu against one another, before ascending to otherworldly territory.

From Shukaku to Kurama, Naruto's tailed beasts all scale differently, be it in their innate power, personality, or impact across the overall series.

The two begin using powerful jutsu against one another. At this point in the series, Naruto has access to Six Paths Sage Mode while Sasuke has unlocked the Rinnegan. They each fly high into the sky to use their final, strongest jutsu against one another. Sasuke uses Indra's Arrow while Naruto uses the devastating Six Paths: Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken.

Naruto fully transforms into a giant avatar of Kurama, uses the Six Paths Senjutsu, and charges up two massive Rasenshurikens infused with natural energy. It's Naruto's strongest jutsu in Shippuden by far. If he had launched the attack at anyone other than a fully empowered Sasuke, he would have killed them easily.

The Six Paths: Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken isn't just Naruto's strongest jutsu in Shippuden: it's also a culmination of all of his work. He starts the series struggling to master the Rasengan before making it his textbook technique. He then makes it his own by adding Wind Release, creating the Rasenshuriken. After getting powers from the Sage of Six Paths, he's able to add Six Paths Senjutsu to the technique. Finally, united with Kurama, he's able to make it massive.

1 Baryon Mode

A Jutsu So Strong Naruto Has Only Ever Used It Once

One of the biggest complaints to come out of Boruto was Naruto's backseated role. Sure, the series was supposed to focus on Boruto and the new generation of ninja, but fans wanted to see their favorite character take a more prominent role in the series. It didn't help that Naruto and Sasuke seemed to be nerfed as well. Naruto and Sasuke worked hard to become some of the strongest ninja ever, and it didn't feel great to see that power taken from them.

That all changed when Naruto fought Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. Isshiki was arguably the strongest opponent Naruto had ever faced when the two fought, and no less than Naruto's best was necessary to take down the near-divine being. Naruto and Kurama decided to enter the dangerous Baryon Mode, using Kurama's very essence as a fuel source.

Baryon Mode is easily Naruto's strongest jutsu and the strongest transformation in the entire series. It does everything every other transformation does even better. Naruto's reflexes became instantaneous, allowing him to dodge and evade Isshiki's attacks with ease. He's also able to fight using taijutsu at a level even Might Guy would be jealous of, blocking Isshiki's attacks before delivering absurdly powerful counterattacks of his own.
