The basketball simulator NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan cover art, available on certain editions of the game, and now big gameplay adjustments have also been announced.
As the series' next and most modern entry, NBA 2K23 may be the most realistic sports game in the industry. The title will use state-of-the-art graphics to bring some of the world's biggest basketball stars onto the virtual court, with the athlete roster including both men and women. NBA 2K23 will also give each player incredibly realistic animations, allowing them to demonstrate their personality and unique playstyle in-game. Dribbles, es and dunks are all incredibly realistic, too, letting players immerse themselves in the world of professional basketball. Enhancements to features like MyTEAM mode will also be introduced, making the realistic graphics in NBA 2K23 the icing on the cake.
An NBA 2K23 Courtside Report update reveals several changes and improvements coming to MyTEAM mode. The brand-new Triple Threat Online: Co-Op feature will let players team up with friends for 3v3 online matchups, with additional variations like Party Mode and Competitive Online also being included. New MyTEAM Prestige Tiers will also be introduced in NBA 2K23, letting players reset their team's progression to earn even more exciting rewards. A single-player version of the fast-paced Clutch Time mode will also be available, as will Trophy Case challenges and Exhibition missions that earn special rewards.
NBA 2K23 Overhauls The MyTEAM Experience
On top of the major changes coming to MyTEAM, NBA 2K23 will feature Jordan Challenges to honor the basketball icon's career highlights. The title will pay tribute to the Chicago Bulls legend, who wore the number 23 for all six of his NBA champion seasons. The Jordan Challenges feature will let NBA 2K23 players recreate Air Jordan's greatest basketball moments, with pre-game interviews and a video filter immersing players in the 90s. These challenges will also change NPC player behavior to reflect the style of 90s basketball.
NBA 2K23 promises to push the long-running series forward by embracing modern graphics and building upon beloved gameplay modes. MyTEAM lets basketball fans build the ultimate roster, and now improvements like co-op play and Prestige Tiers will make the experience even more dynamic. By pushing these modes forward, NBA 2K23 looks to be a slam dunk for sports game fans.
NBA 2K23 will release on September 8 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
