Previously, Lara Macy was played by Louise Lombard. However, Lombard's appearances take place several years into NCIS, which nears two decades from NCIS: Origins season 1. As a result, the NCIS franchise had to cast a younger actor to take over the role, just like how the prequel cast Austin Stowell as a younger Gibbs. While Berger's time on NCIS: Origins is over, she could still appear through her relationship with Lala in season 2.
